“Like when Chunk meets sloth.. BABYYYRRUUTH!!” – hahah

QOTD- Without a doubt Southern France – From the Northern Rhone to Southern Rhone.. Hitting up Hermitage, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Cornas, Vacqueyras, Lirac.. Yum…My French is terrible, so I would need a nice translator to accompany me.

I’d like to try the rioja, and I hate to admit this but the packaging is very weak.. Little cut out dog deal? Hmm.. I know IT DOESN’T MATTER – but it just looks like a cheap marketing gimmic. Had to put it out there.. Nice to throw a Sauterne in there.. Easily overlooked dessert wine.. Tasty.

Once again you brought the thunder..

Thanks for such a great show GV! My wife and I had several people over, none of whom had seen your show before and we had a blast. The wines were great. One of my friends was sure that he picked up rhubarb on the nose of the Sauternes, but we all agreed on the rubber ball.

QOTD: Bordeaux, but only with the intention of cheating on your question and then hitching a ride through the rest of Western Europe.

Can’t believe you mentioned Stratego, one of the great board games. Just sent a copy to our nephew, currently deployed to Iraq.

Great show! Don’t get to try the wines because of our ridiculous shipping restrictions.

QOTD. Anywhere in France that makes wine will charm you, but I’ve always wanted to go back to Tuscany around the town of Greve or to Montalcino. The atmosphere there surrounding wine is wonderful.

GV – Good stuff. QOTD – I’d be all over Loire I think. Wine for me and the lady – good sights. Great wine.

Really bummed that I missed the secret pack. Honestly, you need to promote it more. I’m way behind on episodes thanks to a vacation and a new baby at home but I didn’t even know that a secret pack was coming.

Gary! I can’t post in the forums yet (I’m only 20) but if you come to Sacramento I’ll definitely be there!

QOTD: I don’t know, maybe the Wine Library on my 21st birthday? You guys probably have an amazing selection…

Also, I was just wondering, what wine(s) did you drink last night at the dinner you planned with your wife?

QOTD: France without a doubt because along with Italy they are the only countries where wine is an essential part of their heritage and tradition. I would love to see with my own eyes where it is that the different wines come from and the differences between them. Not to mention the cuisine would be out of this world.

  21. May 7, 2008

    Anna

QOTD: Ultimately, it would have to be Italy. But, for the near future and closer to home – Washington state. I’m headed there this summer to visit my brother and hoping to have lots of good wine.

Gary – COME TO OHIO on your book tour! Your fans in the Buckeye State are trying to set up something. Please come!
