My favorite wine has to be the 2001 Chateau Valandraud (kosher).
Least favorite Tierra Salvaje Malbec 2003 (kosher), cheap crap.
We’re in San Diego trying to get GV to the downtown Borders.

Best because of the Thunder Show:
2005 Giacomo Montresor Valpolicella Il Veronese (89)

Worst (Only because I was expanding my palate, not because you recommended it or the area, or had it in a secret pack)
    2006 Bloom Dornfelder Petals (83)

Tasted a Briccotondo that you review, and it was… Special! A powerful nose and a chalky sensation in mouth!

That’s all I can tell : It’s hard to find a lot of these wines here, in Canada (Thumbs up, Toronto!)

I was in before the leave a comment was even up.

QOTD: The best is easy so far. 2003 St Jean du Barroux L’Oligocene. I haven’t cracked the Walla Walla wines you’ve touted, Boudreaux, Pomum, Cougar Crest or the 2005 Bordeaux’s. Probably I’m least impressed with the Spanish Albarino (not one that you tasted) that I had because of the show. Thought that there were a lot of other choices in the under $15.00 range that I preferred (Domestic Gewurztraminers, Reislings, New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs).

Wow, another wine I’m not familiar with, love learning new things about wine from you Gary!

QOTD: Well since I actually began watching a month ago I havent tried that much new, but I have ventured out bought a Brunello di Montalcino
, Vouvray, GruVee,some ‘05 Bordeuax, and GrecoDiTufo. Waiting now for the right occasions to open them with friends or family. But like you I love Sparklers and have the Spring Rosé Fever, so I’m trying some different types of them with your inspiration!!

On a bad note though I recently opened a Hugel Riesling from Alsace that tasted like SOLVENT, spat that out quick!

    SacTown is ready for ya!!!

haha, look at all these guys leaving comments just to see if they can be in the top 10!
    That’s funny. Good for them!
QOTD-I haven’t been watching long enough to have bought any wines on the shows influence, but I probably wont because I can’t buy wine anyway being 17. I know you can relate to me, Gary- you were my age when you got into wine! It sucks a fair bit! ha. Well at least it’s just 8 months till I’m 18. (It’s 18 in Ireland, not 21).
The worst wine I’ve ever tasted was a white Rioja.
Its taste was remarkably close to that of vomit.
The best… an obscure little Bordeaux called Chateau Du Gaby!
Can’t even find evidence of its existence on the net, but somehow the wine shop still had it!
Might be beaten soon though, I’ve a bottle of 04 chateuaneuf Du Pape with my name on it!
    “Domaine Des Senechaux”.
Oh, and actually I’m quite partial to red Rioja! (funny considering how ultimately shite that white one was)
Sorry for going on a bit in this comment. I really appreciate having this blog to watch, Gary.
    Thanks ; )

Can’t think of anything that was horrible, just trying more and more different types of wines from different regions.

QOTD: Best would be the SA Wolf Trap wine, really opened me up to trying a lot more South African offerings. As far as a worst, one doesn’t stick out, so you must be doing pretty well!!
