QOTD: Best is Rieslings (Leitz Rudesheim Dry, and Schloss Johannisberg Rheingau Kabinett- Off Dry) both massive QPRs. Worst is maybe a Condrieu 4-producer collaboration, good typical off dry viognier, then a bitter finish which ruined it!

i am in west des moines iowa

ummm qotd worst: elk cove vineyards 2007 willamette valley pinot noir rose. I decided to try roses again because of the thunder show and the trying new things thing, but this was too acidic and way over oaked.

qotd best: that's a lot harder. I've tried a lot of stuff in the vein of always buy something new every time you buy something old and most of the time i'm very happy I did. It's pretty had to get wines that were on the show locally for me, but I've had a couple carmenere's lately that i've really liked thanks to the try new things attitude.

QOTD: Best: Ive brought up this wine several times, but its brought the thunder.... A Royal Tokaji 5 puttonyos after you mentioned azsu wines in like episode 73 or something. Worst? hmmmmmm Cant say Ive had a worst because I havent tasted an exact wine from the show yet ( more like buying a type of wine than the actual mainly cause I cant find it ), but I have hated a pinot gris then loved another one.

I like it when you bring the small and almost unheard of areas like Rully into the picture. It really teaches me what is hard to get straight answers on usually from other sources.

Catching up on WLTV while driving (riding actually) to see my family and celebrate my sister's graduation.

I picked up a Chardonnay in a box (a Tetra Prisma pack) and it was pretty horrible. I don't think I would have bought box wine if I didn't watch WLTV; I'm still open to box wine, just not that one. It was from Green Groves.

I got the 2005 Bzikot white Burgundy from WL and it was awesome, introduced me to some great seashell flavors that I hadn't experienced before. Before watching WLTV, France wasn't really on my radar--the appellation system kept me away.

Hey Gary - Best recommendation from you - Albarino. Great white. Brought a few bottles to a party yesterday and to our demise, it was a hit! Thanks for that direction.

I was surprised that the Olivier LeFlaive was so poor.
I went to a lunch and tasting at their cellar in Puligny Montrachet and the wines were quite good, although not exceptional.

Best wine experience from WLTV - Four Vines Naked Chardonnay
Worst wine experience from WLTV - not being able to be shipped to in MA

QOTD: Any Cote de Rhone rocks...I have yet to try any of the Washington State wines that you have had on the show, but of the Wash. wines that i've tried, none have impressed me.

that's a tough question.
I've hit Chablis pretty hard as a result of some of the shows.
Languedoc and such have been good.
can't think of a reccomendation that has been disappointing. If I think of one I'll post it later.
