    Great Show!!!

QOTD: In Houston, Tx I absolutely love Cova Wine bar and Sonoma Wine Bar. Sonoma is more for a relaxed chill midday glass of wine for me and Cova for more evening wine consumption. In New Orleans, I love the Wine Institute of New Orleans or W.I.N.O.

Always great to see the show in a different location. However, it’s time to bust your chops a little….hang on. So there was something that I could go on….about in todays show…and that’s Pinot’s & price…but I’ll leave that be for now.

QOTD: My favorite wine bar has to be 58 degrees in Sacramento or Morrell in NYC.

It was fun seeing the inside of a wine bar again.
QOTD: I think that the only wine bar I’ve been to was a champagne bar – Flute – in New York. I don’t think that it would ever be my favorite though. We almost went to Barcibo Enoteca, but they were doing something to the front entrance with construction workers and we couldn’t get in for half an hour which would have made us late to the opera.

QOTD: Never been to a wine bar. Not sure I know of any in Cedar Rapids, IA besides restaurants. We have some great restaurants but I havn’t even been impressed with the wine lists at most of them.

Oh, and to add to my last comment, they do $10 bottles (four or five different ones) on Tuesdays and Thursdays. How can you not love that?

    Taco John

Tutto Bene in Bloomington, IN. It’s a wine bar and tapas/small plates restaurant. They have a nice glass list, a great bottle list including some really off the wall stuff (white Bourdeux, sparkling Shiraz, that sort of thing) and very knowledgeable and helpful staff.

But the best part is, the owners couldn’t decide if they wanted to create a wine bar or a furniture/art gallery, so they did both. Everything is for sale, including the glasses your drinking from, the art on the walls, or the table you’re sitting at.

Biggest drawback is that if you’re rolling with liquor fans, they only have a half-and-half license due to Bloomington’s limit on full liquor licenses.
