This is an amazing phenomenon. Gary clearly said there is “a thing” in the bucket, but it seems like everyone’s guessing “nothing” is in there (or air). We are such a skeptical and jaded culture!

Besides your Book, a pen to autograph it with. Plus coupon for free shipping on a case of wine.

QOTD: So many. Cheers, Mash, Seinfield. Are you being Served. Faulty Towers. Red Dwarf. Lost in Space. And yes, old Star Trek.

I think you put a cork in the bucket. Also, props to you for waving the Barbera flag. Highly overlooked wines with incredible diversity between producer and regions, and just one of the best all-around food wines for a no-brainer wine pairing. I recommend 05 DeForville for amazing value and one of the best wines I have recently tasted is Giacomo Conterno Barbera 05.

My guess is that you have Liono in the bucket.

The Barbara wine that I tried is not sit well on my pal. I have only tried one maker/vintage, on two occacions. However, I will try it again before long.

QOTD: Friends (go ahead and laugh)

My rule for traveling Italy was drink any thing that sounds like my name, Barbara! That being said I drank a shit ton on Barbera and Barbarescos…good times. California has a lot of nice Barberas too, real approachable and agreeable plump fruit. I dig a lite rounded dose of vanilla with the finish too. Totally underappreciated grape I agree; but cobwebs, cabbage and celery oh my!*#%
QOTD: I’m a WHEEEEEL WATCHER!!! Lifelong 26 year love affair with ol’ Pat! Honorable mentions to THE Golden Girls, Alfred Hitchcock and the old school Adam West BATMAN and the ever entrancing McGyver. What’s your favorite show, Gary?
Pumpkin Contents…Tickets to a special Halloween wine tasting event you are building up perhaps!

IN THE BUCKET: The pen you signed the book, or action figure of Nikolai Volkoff.

QOTD: If it’s dumb ass mindless TV I would say I like Seinfeld and Project Runway. But I really enjoy Nova, when there are new ones since they don’t come out every day. Also, they are in HD-1080i!!!!

How about a “super Tuscan” episode, I have been curious about these.

I’m glad to see you talk about barbera again. It’s a little more pricey than most, but I generally find Michele Chiarlo’s La Court Barbera D’Asti to be my favorite barbera in a given vintage. The ‘04 is drinking very nicely; I just had a bottle last night. QOTD: has to be The Simpsons. bucket: maybe a Thundercat? Thanks again for another great show.
