I’ll leave a comment just b/c you mentioned Dave Winfield. Yay, Dave Winfield!!

QOTD: Dinosaurs. Kind of creepy with the puppet thing, but a damn funny show.

I like it, Barbera!! One of my favorites, when you get a chance try some California ones from the Amador, Fair Play and El Dorado County areas, there are some great values in these areas!

I really like that you will be trying stuff that is more available. And you are right, Barbera vs Chianti is a no brainer, Barbarea all day long and twice on Sunday!

Hey, Dave Winfield was a STUD! I just saw him on a show and he is still in shape! I like that you pulled that out, I was a fan of his!

QOTD: I’m going old school since you said all-time! Two shows, Big Valley and The BIonic Man!! It’s just funny that Lee Majors was in both of them.

    Hey GV,

Great show. I love it when you take the show in different directions. I’ve only had one Barbera to date so it looks like it’s time to revisit and get another opinion.

Can’t wait to see you when you visit Boston for the book tour. My advice? Do it at the Borders downtown. You’ll absolutely draw a big crowd.

QOTD – Hands down SEINFELD. Not only did my family and I watch it while it was on, we bought all of the DVD’s and I swear on my future children that we watch at least 2 episodes per night.

I think you have one of the corks in there. I only count 2 on the table that I can see.

QOTD: Favorite show of all time: Cheers.

QOTD: My all-time favorite TV show is M*A*S*H. I could watch it every day in reruns for the rest of my life. That show was phenomenal and there will not likely be another one close to it again.

What’s in the pumpkin, you ask? I’ll venture to guess a wristband.

Gotta try the Icardi–Barbera D’Asti has been a long standing favorite of mine (Nobbio, 2004, to be exact)..

QOTD Answer: Chiller Theater (WPIX Channel 11, NY)–when I was a kid this show scared the hell out of me!!

Continue the great work! The pumpkin has the book in it and the book has been personally signed by GV,Mott and the WLTV staff and when auctioned on e-bay in 25 years will bring the highest price ever for a properly stored book(55 degrees at 28.5% humidity). The favorie TV show—Victory At Sea!!!

Great video. I really enjoy the Italian wine culture, so much so that I went on a wine-tasting trip in Italy that was absolutely incredible. Nothing compares to having great food with wine in authentic Italian farmhouses while overlooking beautiful scenery.

I’ve been a big fan of Barbera since I started drinking wine. I completely agree with you, Gary, that Chianti is just too popular for its own good.

    QOTD: The Simpsons
