What up Grrr, great episode man. I have heard you reference white flowers several times and today you mention walking down a perfume aisle. This reminded me of a perfume I got for my sister once… “Quelques Fleurs” by Houbigant. Next time your gettin’ drug around a nice department store by the Mrs., swing by the perfume area and check it out.

Gary, I am terribly sorry for not having commented in weeks. . .but I’m back (DisconnecttheDots if you’re in the forum.)

QOTD: I have had a tocai fruliano, but it was not nearly as life changing as the one you sampled today. Thanks for the pick, and I will have my eyes open (for the bottle or a free shipping promo :) .

    You rule.

I really am not into the whites, and agree with other posts that you dont really seem to honestly enjoy this wine, but are more promoting it … I dont think I will be trying … sorry …

I had a Bastianch Tocai Friulano in March. Was not nearly as good as this one sounds.

Never had this type of wine before, seems like your really trying to promote this wine very short episode on this laid back friday, just got your book in the mail today, couldn’t put it down, how about 12 5-star reviews on amazon…. very impressive.

    Gary,
I am so totally catching up on WLTV episodes this Memorial Day Weekend. How did you know? I’m about a month behind. Possibly more. This whole new job thing is kicking my butt. I am so looking forward to putting my feet up, starting in the early 420s and just sipping some wine while listening to you blather on…my ideal weekend. That, and getting all the other things I’ve been meaning to do off my ‘DO NOW OR DIE TRYING’ list.

Thanks! Have a great weekend yourself!

QOTD: No, I have not tried a Friulano, nor had I even heard of this wine until seeing your episode here tonight. Considering how you raved about it and gave it a 94-point rating, I’d say that I will have to put this on the list of wines to try in the future. Thanks again for your passion for wine, along with the insight you bring to it.

QOTD: I have not had one.

    Enjoy the weekend.

QOTD: The friulano sounds wonderful. Never had one. I had a D’Arenberg viognier-rousanne with lunch today. That was good too.
Is that pepto bismal on your table? I hear that if you have flaky skin you should rub pepto bismal on and it will make the skin smooth again. It might be good after a sunburn.

QOTD: No, but I’ve had a Tocai Friulano!

Palmina. They do very nice Italian varietals, including the Tocai.

    never had a Tocai fruliano.
    94 points -damn
but as you say trust your own palate
    and
since I’m still quite new to the wine world
I’m thinking I had better get my foundations set/my palate/nose/head
trained; on the ready to know what’s what, so I can enjoy
a wine like this even more when i’m able to.

Sorry Never had one…but hope to someday.
