OK – So now we have to wait until Monday – The cliff hanging suspense has really got a hold of me :) There must be a reason………….

Gary I watch your shows on my way to work on a Zune… everyone around me stared when I groaned loudly at the ending. Today’s episode is up but I have to wait till tomorrow morning to watch in order to keep my routine… Can’t wait to see it!

Can’t wait for the finish…it WAS NOT a waste of time!! Good idea for a wine tasting group to do…we do it all the time and try to figure out what kind of wint it is….makes us really think about what we are smelling and tasting.

Dude the suspense is killing me.

Love to join you on the 11th @ Costco in my backyard practically, but I’ll probably be fresh out of the delivery room. She’s not gonnna make it much longer. LOL

I was SO enjoying the blind tasting of six Cabs and then…… THEN….. Oh my gosh…. you end up not pulling them out of the bag for the big reveal with your ratings. There must be more of an explanation than what Mott gives there at the very end…. isn’t there??

I am all for the stemless wine glasses, whether or not they be Riedel O’s. My wine glasses are all of the stemless variety and I think they are so much more sensible than the stemmed variety. Much less chance of them getting knocked over at the table by a wayward elbow or flying hand. To each his own, and if you must have stemware, by all means do. I think the stemless ones are the way to go as a practical matter.

Gary, please promise us that we will find out what happened on this episode with the “to be continued” ending. We’re all going nuts out here wondering what was in those bags.

G-man, was this some sort of marketing ploy? What’s up w/ that?? It’s all good though, you’re still the man. Look forward to the unveiling.

Stems are for me. If I don’t have a stem, it’s pop! smile. But then I don’t spit my wine out in parking lots or into buckets. smile.

AHH! What was this show? The unknown bag wine? What’s UP with that? I now have to watch this twice? Once when I see and know the wines? I went into my wine store today and asked for “Gary bag #4 cab” and now I can’t go back for 2 weeks (so embarrassing, they thought I was saying something dirty)
Dirty shoe #3 Dorky cherries? Do you have a lexicon of all these terms?
#4 – raspberry tort. I can’t keep up with smelling and tasting the world so I can match to you, Gary! smile. hahahaha.
#5 – can’t wait to know what to avoid!
#6 – cedarbox and text book. wow. love your terms. they expand my vocab!

REALLY good show, again. I come almost each day to watch and learn.

    Interesting Neil.

I find I can usually accurately predict Gary’s score before he says it
within 1 point 95% of the time.

I could see a lawsuit from Sutter Home, or Berringer looming here keeping us from seeing the results of this lol.

I think that the cliffhanger was pretty solid, but GV needs to take things to the next level. I’m talking old school batman-style cliffhangers, a little dramatic narrating at the end from Mott as he shows some exciting highlights. Really build up the suspense. And for that matter I think GV and Mott need to start throwing in some graphic “Pow”s and “Zam”s, or even just a Thunder symbol if the wine is bringing it. Keep it up.

One other thing… So rad that you have Tecmo Bowl sitting on the table. That’s pretty awesome.

    LOL

this is awesome watching everyone get pissed about the ending…i’m actually quite interested to find out what happened…i hope it’s something hilarious to put all the doubters to shame.

by the way, gary, the only thing i’m not feelin on this episode are the glasses without stems…lol…it looks rediculous…but whatever gets the vayniaks goin is fine by me. great show!

I rated the wine’s scores as Gary went through the tasting notes: based on his reaction I imagine the scores to be
    #1 79 pts
    #2 87 pts
    #3 86 pts
    #4 89 pts
    #5 73 pts
    #6 85 pts

I have no idea what his scores are…. we’ll see on the next show…

Another episode like this and I might return to being a lurker. Makes me crave football season even more.

C’mon, don’t go Hollywood on us Gary. What a contrived, phony ending. Wasted 18 minutes of my time. Might have to put Wine Library in the corner for a week or 2 as punishment.

5:30 – no ending yet? Here’s my prediction: This is how WLTV ends. Kind of Soprano’s-style.

    I guessed Vayniac Wristband…

Hey, I love the stemless wine glasses. When I sit one on the tray table next to the couch while I am sitting on the couch, they are not as likely to tip over when my yellow lab hits the tray table…. Ok, what up with the ending of this episode!!

  21. June 4, 2008

I’m all about the Riedel-O glasses, more of a Masculine feel. Give me a break about the loss of nose, how is that possible?? Way to switch it up at the end, drives some people crazy.

    Chad Spacey

I had a crazy idea what do you think?

For the blind tasting shows, before you revile the wine from inside the bag, give what you would pay for it. So give them a rating and then give a price you would pay for it.

Like the cliffhanger ending, but Mott could have at least given us the question of the day.

    GrapeStuff

    OMG WTF

  25. June 4, 2008

    chenin

Ditto, the Riedel-O glasses suck. They’re even more lacking in style when you see someone using them. As for the cutoff – people, the show is for free after all and shit happens. I think only Mott’s mysterious comment and no further explanation at all gave way to the various speculations. So WTF we’re in for a lot of fun and that’s all we need and all we get.
