WHAA??? Ok, so originally I was going to leave a comment about my love for the stemless Ridels. (I’m most likely to break the stem anyways.)

But seriously….the producers of Lost could learn a thing or two from this suspence. Was this real? The timing of the cut off seems a little too perfect.

Wow, I’d like to give you the benefit of the doubt as you’ve had no problem panning wines in the past reguardless of the consequences, but this seems shady to me. What I first thought was that they dropped the bags and realized they had the show theme wrong and were a little embarrased. I don’t see why though, preconceived notions are a fact of life and to act as though any of us are immune from them is just crazy. That being said I think many of us would kill to see a double blind episode to see some pure analysis and reaction. Maybe Ian thought it would be funny to put the vayniac cab in there because wine #5 seemed to smell like a wine that was still being formed.

Maybe the mystery wine was the 69-point 2005 Convenant?

I agree with sgevurtz. This episode makes me want to see some double blinds. I not so much interested in Gary getting the varietals correct as seeing what he scores wines without the price affecting his thought process.

    Well now, wasn’t that interesting.

Is there really a good tasting $10 Cab out there?
If so where is it from?
    France? Don’t think so
    USA ? NOT gonna happen
Africa, South America, Portugal, Canada…hmmmmm perhaps.

    Hey Vaniac’s:
We all should go buy some Under $10 Cabs this weekend and try this for ourselves…..We don’t need GV to do this for us.
Try it and then post some new comments.

Wow…after weeks of talking up Gary V and Wine Library, I finally got two co-workers to watch their first episode. Any guesses on if they will be back? Weak effort. Why even post the video?

I hope it turns out to be a flight of $50+ wines, that would be killer. Can’t wait to hear the scoop. Great show, by the by – you need to do more blind tasting.

GV, You’re asking a lot of us. Hope you DO have a good explanation. Was the whole cutoff with Mott pleading for tolerance done with malice of forethought?

Great show, I really like my cabs so I can’t wait till they’re unveiled. I have four of the o series glasses and I thought I wouldn’t like them at first but they turned out to be really nice, they feel thin but they aren’t bad at all.
I really wanna know what #4 is but I guess I’ll have to build my patience in addition to the palate :D

The entire idea that GV is too embarrassed to show what’s in the bottles is moronic. If he was that embarrassed he wouldn’t have shown the first part of the tasting. I can’t wait for what I’m sure is going to be one hell of a surprise, but Jesus guys, a little cold and a little stupid on the criticisms there. troglodytes.

What a phoney show. Gary’s palate was tricked and he was afraid that the unveiling of the wines would show that he panned one that he previously praised of vice versa. I’m glad I FF’d to the end of the episode & did not waste 18 minutes of my time watching.

BS such as this is one of the reasons I quit watching WLTV. My revisit to WLTV today did nothing to convince me to return.

Probably the worst episode of WLTV…

They will never reveal what’s in the paper bags. Even if they do, it will be a separate episode and they have time to change the bottles. I’m dying for an explanation. GV, are you gonna have time to read all these comments? I think it will reach 300 before you explain what happened :)
