QOTD: my favorite was back when I played high school lacrosse, I dreampt the night before a game that I was in front of the goal when the “X” therw the ball to me and then two opponents like ice cream sandwiched me and dropped me to the ground. at the game I was standing in front of the goal “X” threw me the ball and somehow I knew what was coming, I got slammed from both sides! we lost the game but I found out Im prophetic!

QOTD: Favorite sports moment.. there are many but I would say when Kirk Gibson hit his 9th inning, 2-out 3-2 count home run for the Dodgers in the 1988 World Series against Oakland to win the game.

QOTD: I guess the sporting event I enjoyed the most was a Syracuse Crunch hockey game. I took my boyfriend to the game on his birthday this year, and it was more like we went to a fight and a hockey game broke out. I dont usually like to encourage violence, but when it comes to hockey, I love it when they fight … there were at least half a dozen fights in this one game. Blood was drawn, players were evicted… and we won. it was great.

    According to Raycerx”

“My guess is wine #5 was a wine he shouldn’t have bagged as hard as he did…and he’s trying to think of how to reverse things.”

Maybe… But if things were really that bad, they probably would have pulled or delayed the episode, right? I dunno. I’ll be equally as frustrated if this is just some “marketing” gimmick.

QOTD: Secretariat winning the Belmont in ‘73. I was 10 years old and watched it on our little black and white TV. I still get goosebumps when I see the race or hear the call.

I love Italian whites but I’m sad to say I haven’t tried a Gavi. I will remedy that situation on my next wine buying mission.

QOTD: Being at Busch Stadium with my wife and two daughters when the Cardinals won the 2006 NLCS. I had been to playoff and World Series games before, but having my family with me made this one the most special.

QOTD: High school soccer: A kid on the other team and I were running towards each other full speed, and I don’t think he saw me. In the last second, I jumped straight over him (he was a little guy).

QOTD: Calling Joe Carter’s Home run in the (’92 or ‘93) world series. I was 10 at the time, watching it with my parents and said, wouldn;t it be awesome if Joe Carter hit a home run to win it? During that at bat…BAM!

QOTD When the 2004 BoSox won the world series it was amazing and i will never forget it!

Qotd: When John Elway told me and all other Denver fans, “I Love You!” after the second super bowl win. I love any Peidmont wine shows, Thanks!

I don’t know Gary, maybe you need to refund all the big bucks the wine whiners pay you for the right to watch your show. I still suspect you’re just playing with us, but if Mott says that’s not the case, out of respect, I must put aside my suspicion.

QOTD: We Philly fans have a bigger collection of heart breaking moments. I’m not so much a basketball or hockey fan. I was too young in 1960 to appreciate the last time the Eagles were NFL champs. So my highlight was when the late Tugger got the final out of the 1980 World Series and the losingest team in the history of sports became world champs.

i need to start hitting up the italiano bianco. i normally hang in france and well france for the whites. i have been picking up some italian and swiss whites as of late, thank you. when you live in Fr, that is what you drink : ), anyhoo, looks good.
QOTD: i was more into sports when i was younger, so those moments land there. i got a 3rd place in a big ski race ( giant slalom) when i was 14. and that was out of left field. i had no idea would do that well. I also played soccer from when i was 7 to 16. i always played ” D ” but one game i took a direct kick from near the mid field and i scored! it surely helped us win the game which was real tight and the best team in the league. it was the bomb

QOTD: For me, personally, it was about 3 years ago when I beat my best 10K time (cross-county running) in a road race for charity, in the coldest, rainiest, windiest weather imaginable, and won first place in my age group. My parents were so proud, the hard work had paid off, and there’s nothing like the feeling of complete fatigue and exhaustion after sprinting as fast as possible after 6 miles.

Gavi di Gavi, I have a Principessa Gavia 2006 Gavi waiting for a nice summer weekend this year, hope it’s closer to the Martinetti than the other two :)

QOTD – Sports moment? I suppose it was watching (on TV)the Champion’s League final in 2005. Liverpool beat Inter, this clip (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JpT9n_6DEqY) says it all. My friend Murat was in the stadium in Istanbul and got to hold the Cup.

    Best ever!

QOTD: 1999 Tour De France, Stage 9, Lance Armstrong’s win atop Sestrière. We had all watched the first week in his comeback from cancer, as a completely new rider. He won the time trial in Metz the day before and people realized his prologue win wasn’t a fluke, but to conquor in the mountains meant he was the real deal, and just may be one of the great ones. He took the lead that day, I believe and was confirmed as one of the great talents in suffering on two wheels.

I just got a new job selling wine in a retail store. Every show I watch is like going to wine school. I feel like I owe you a tuition check for schooling me to the wine game. You’re the man!

QOTD: Couple months ago, in the last few seconds of regulation, Mario Chalmers sinks the three point shot and ties up the 2008 NCAA Championship game, eventually leading the Jayhawks to a stunning overtime victory. Much jubilant chaos ensues on the streets of a little college town called Lawrence, KS.

Favorite sports memory has to be the 04-05 Elite 8 game between Illinois and Arizona. The comeback was just amazing. Down 15 with 4 to go, winner goes to the F4. What a finish.

QOTD: 1991 World Series Game 6 – Kirby Puckett leaps to make a great catch to save the game and then hits a home run to win it the 12th inning. Then Jack Morris wins Game 7 with 10 innings of shutout ball.
