Nice to see Mott & Gary on together

That's actually a little off. They've since proven that the bonarda out of Italy and Argentina is not the same varietal as charbono out of California

I know very well Travaglini and Librandi Cirò (with the accent on the ò) because I'm born in Calabria and I live in Piedmont! I can tell you that those wines are sold respectively around 15-18 and 6-7 eurobucks in Italy, so I think you've got a fair price in US. Librandi is doing a very good job in Calabria with the help of a very smart Oenologist from Piedmont. I will suggest you to try MAGNO MEGONIO (Magliocco 100%) and GRAVELLO (Gaglioppo 60% Cab. Sauvignon 40%) from Librandi!

Happy birthday, Mott! Nice to see you get some camera time and sit down with Gary. Also nice to see you liking more and more reds. Train that palate! QOTD1: I believe Mott is 42. QOTD2: Obviously past the time, and probably wouldnt have been able to anyway with work and whatnot.

I had a '95 or '97 Travaglini back in 2003, and it was quite possibly the best wine drinking experience I've ever had - like smooth cherry and strawberry velvet, and was thick on the palette. So I'm rather disappointed that the 2003 was thin and wasn't very good. Maybe 2003 wasn't a very good growing year? Hopefully the 2004 will be better.
