QOTD – The world is full of so many surprises that it is hard to pick one. Each day brings surprises to my life and in the news. I guess that is what keeps things interesting. You could never predict the things that actually happen.

Despite the name which became awkward, I think the Twin Towers could have been one of the greatest tag teams of all time, but they really shined as two individual guys. Akeem (aka One Man Gang) and the Bog Boss Man could have been one of those great big man tag teams.

But because they weren’t around for long, I would have to go with the Road Warriors or the Dudley Boys. A match between these two at their prime would have been an epic fight.

Gary, Don’t forget the Road Warriors…greatest tag team of all time.

Awesome effort. Tried some new wines from new areas (new to me) tonight and I felt the thunder.

    QOTD: I don’t like surprises

Best tag team ever??? Come on!!! My vote goes to the Rockers, Shawn Michaels, Marty Jannetty, now that’s a REAL power! And you gotta love their flowing locks!

QOTD: Biggest surprise this year… probably a job offer I got, which was a pleasant surprise. Otherwise, it might have been the Giants winning the S-Bowl.

ok i got lots of comments on this one. ok i havent been watching a long time or anything, but ive never seen you that excited over a wine yet, and you only gave it a 91. Have you ever had a 100pt wine (in your opinion)and if so what was it? Second … sorry?. i wanna send you some wine from here in the hudson valley, and i dont wanna hear how sorry you are if you dont like it. to thine on self be true. (also on a side note, since i dont live that far away, its actually be a lot cheaper for me to take a train into Manhattan and give it to somebody than to ship the wine). ok and whats the deal with san fransisco? F**K the west coast, episode 1000 (i believe!!!) better be for the home crowd. qotd. the biggest surprise in my life in the past year has been finding i spent 4 years at college for anthropology and geography, only to find i really want to be a Vigneron. who knew? Peace.

qotd: getting a teaching job after a whole year of waiting.

Thanks for doing shows that remind us the amazing tings that can happen in the wine world. Oklahoma!?

I just want to know one thing… did Mott hit the microphone on the camera about 7 minutes in? Take a listen.

QOTD: My biggest suprise this year was you asking what my biggest suprise was this year. How ironic.

QOTD: Sorry – it’s not suitable for a family-friendly show.

You should think about doing a college class-made wine showdown with 4+ bottles from different parts of the country at the end of August to kick off college football season.

Chapel Creek sounds amazing! How many bottles are around? Please tell me there’s some up for grabs!

QOTD: Biggest surprise this year was thinking my wife was pregnant with our third child after I had gone and had a snippy snip. It was just a false alarm. As an Oklahoma resident, I am guilty of poopooing Oklahoma wines. Guess I’ll have to check out some wineries locally.

The show made me feel like singing Oklahoma. Wasn’t that John Raitt, Bonnie’s dad?
I loved the Wordle lists. They would make GREAT T-shirts.
QOTD: The biggest surprise for me this year was when a neighborhood cat fell through the roof into our house. The preliminary surprise was that one of our skylights blew off – the roofers neglected to fasten them down. So my husband found a piece of styrofoam which he taped to the ceiling until the roofers could come back. A couple of hours later we heard a loud crack. We found a hole in the styrofoam but couldn’t figure out how that had happened,so we went about our business. About 10 minutes later we heard cats screaming, a baby crying (we were babysitting a 9 month old) and I thought that one of our cats had hurt the baby so we ran into the spare room and saw our cats surrounding another cat on the windowsill. What made it confusing was that the neighborhood cat and our cat Sailor are look-a-likes so my husband and I had a little discussion about who was really sitting on the sill. We figured it out and I carried the baby (totally calm now) into our computer room and shut the door and my husband ran to get the cat carrier. Meanwhile the visiting cat made a run for it and ended up in our bedroom on the windowsill followed by several of our cats. I told my husband where the cat was so he opened the computer room door and yelled that there was a baby in there. (He panics easily). The cat carrier idea didn’t work (we have enough trouble getting our own cats into it) so I got a towel and my husband wrapped the cat up in it and took him outside. And that was my biggest surprise and my very best story.

Some of my favorite tag teams that you didn’t mention:

The Outsiders: Kevin Nash (AKA Diesel) and Scott Hall (AKA Razor Ramon)

The Rockers: Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty

    The Steiner Brothers

    The Nasty Boys

The Natural Disasters: Earthquake and Typhoon

Harlem Heat: Booker T and Stevie Ray

P.S. You should book the Iron Shiek for the show! Here’s the link: http://www.bostonwrestling.com/ironsheikhome.html

QOTD: Wines from Argiolas and other producers from Sardegna, made from grapes such as Nuragus, Monica, Vermentino and Cannonau, which become so elegant, expressive and balanced in the glass, that I felt I must go there to experience and understand that island off the coast of Italy. Then, I just read recently that the people there have some of the longest life expectancies on the planet. Coincidence? Not! I want some of that terroir in me, too.

Gary, I want to know more about this Community College!!!! See if this dude wants his info up here because I’d love to look him up and get to chattin’ with him… Continuing education is where it’s at!!!

QOTD: Big Tim Sylvia leaving the UFC to fight Fedor Emelianenko on an Affliction card was the biggest surprise of the year for me!

HUGE props on your Boston show. It was awesome to meet and talk to you. Hope to see you blow up even more!

QOTD: This year I went back to my Europe for my HS reunion (in belgium) and to visit my father (in Paris). to cut a long story short I arrived back in Paris from Belgium and was heading off my train back to my father’s house. At the end of the platform I see my father with a camera out of the corner of my eye and think “well that’s cool he came to pick me up” and then just past him my best friend in the entire world (ste) who I haven’t seen in 4 years.

Turns out my girlfriend (who was joining us 3 days later) had secretly contacted Ste (though they had never met in person) AND my father and flew ste to Paris for 4 days to hang out with me.

The best surprise for so many reasons; to see him after 4 years, to enjoy life friends and family, and just to know that someone cares so much for you that they’ll do anything to give you something special when you least expect it. She’s the freaking best.
