Hi, gary, nice to watch the show again!

QOTD: My biggest surprise of the year, till now, it is that I have been in a New Media Exhibition as a volunteer translator and then become a special member of a net art group. Actually, this experience help me understand the meaning of pure work(as money issues are not involved) to me and of money(as I have no income this month). That is very educative, and I like it.

    All the best!:)

OK WTF?? I was a judge at the Oklahoma City state fair wine taste off six years ago, and what a mistake I made!! They were so bad!! How did you find the one drinkable wine from Oklahoma. PS. I have never heard of the chapel creek and I live here and worked in the biz for a long time. WOW all I can say is WOW. when i saw the title to the show i was horrified. I am glad we had at least one winner. PPs. Texas still SUCKS!!

Gary- Great show as always. Major props to the Chapel Creek CKCs(?) for pumping out some serious vino!

Hey! Maybe it’s just my pet peeve, but since this *is* a wine vlog I thing your team should be able to spell “sauvignon” correctly. Everywhere in the program and in the links you guys have got “sauvingnon.”

Only two letter n’s in sauvignon, even in New Jersey! ;-)

QOTD: 1st biggest surprise was to see that WLTV was doing a show on wines from my home state Oklahoma!!!!! 2nd biggest surprise, really thought the biggest damn surprise, THAT AN OKLAHOMA WINE SCORED 90+ POINTS ON WLTV!!!!!!!!!!! Surprised because I have tried many wines from Oklahoma and they are mostly very poor wines. The wine industry here is very much in the infant stage but, with each step making ground! Don’t think we will ever be known as a “wine state”, but would be great someday to know I can pick up a nice bottle of the home state vino and to be proud that it’s a nice wine!

Nice show, still not buying into any Sooner juice in the near future.
    My three favs were:

    The Steiners
    The Heart Foundation, all three
    APA

QOTD: The biggest suprise, finding out that “things”, (ie: wine, nice dinners, and other perks) really don’t make you happy if what you are doing to obtain said items isn’t where your heart is.

I’m dating myself but I would add Chief Jay Strongbow and high Chief Peter Mivea or perhaps his successor Jimmy Superfly Snooka as one of the greatest tagteams of all time.

FanTAStic episode, GV! Yee-ha for the Community College Kids! (the CCK’s?).

QOTD: Biggest surprise: we’re moving to Ohio, close to Ashtabula county, where there are a bunch of wineries. Miss Vivian is inching her way closer and closer to the Wine Lib., state by state.

Best tag team, Big John Stud and King Kong Bundy. With Bobby the Brain Hennan as the manager.

Biggest surprise of the year: accepting a job in public service rather than asset management. Who knew?

You need to do the Rhone Villages show. Southern Rhone, Gigondas, Lirac Vacqureyas,

I like the Canadian River Chardonnay from Oklahoma. My husband’s reserve unit is in OKC so I get a trip up there once a month! Can’t wait to go next time and try these wine. OKC has some good wine bars, we ate at Rococo’s on Penn Ave. Great restaurant try it out!!!

old school: The Valiant Brothers, Handsome Jimmy and Brother Luscious Johnny. how about Hawk & Animal – The Road Warriors under the direction of Paul Ellering as part of the fabled LoD!

QotD: had a guy i just knew would have massive post-op complications who sailed after beginning to get really ill. no explanation from my medicine background covers his tremendous convalescence.

For those of you anywhere near the Oklahoma City area, Sandhill and Chapel Creek are at a wine festival in south OKC at 104th and South Penn Ave, from 12 to 10 today. I just tried the Chapel Creek and it was very smooth start to finish! Great wine!

    Gary,
This show was great. Very coincidental that i am going to Oklahoma for the 4th of July. I will make it a point to try some different wines when I am up there, especially the Chapel Creek. Keep up the good work, congrats on getting on Revision3!!!

if it wasn’t for all the ice storms, hail storms, tornadoes, backwards drinking and alcohol distribution laws, and general lack of a knowledgeable wine drinking public, OKlahoma prolly wouldn’t be a bad place to grow wine

oh, and the heat. and humidity. and….i’ll stop.

qotd: the fact that in addition to mid life crisis’s there are mid-mid-life crisis’s. who knew your mid-twenties would be so confusing? i’m either getting dumber or wiser, not sure which….

    Great Unmentioned Tag Teams:

    Legion of Doom
The Powers of Pain (Warlord and the Barbarian)
    The Orient Express

….a lot of the other greats have already been mentioned in the comments.

I wonder what the Redlands Community College kids did right… or didn’t do wrong? I’d be fascinated to hear from the winemaker/teacher. Biggest shock or surprise? I guess I was floored when the Pats didn’t win the Super Bowl. 19-1 makes them the number one loser, to use a recent quote from Kobe Bryant.

It’s all about the Hart Foundation!
