QOTD: I did live in France for 4 months, and now I regret not exploring the wine regions to nearly the depth that I would if I was given the opportunity again.

Great Show. He’s a sexy Frenchman–definitely brought the thunder.
QOTD: Haven’t visited France. Love visiting the USA. Maybe someday I will go to France—but on vacation. Not a working one which the contest seems to be.

Very excited about the Mott T-shirt!

    That’s all I got.

Incredible show!!! My wife and I had so much fun meeting Fredrich.

QOTD: Don’t have the flo to make on an international wine tour at this point but pumped about a future opp.

I really enjoy the shows with winemakers. QOTD – I have been to Provence, Avignon, and stayed in Gigondas recently. The area is great for wine, food, and relazing.

Fantastic episode!! Very interesting. Thanks for not interrupting your guest so much GV — I know you don’t mean to but in the past that has been a gr8 annoyance — anyways just a super episode.

Tremendous episode! Brought a smile to my face, no, tears! One of the best shows in WLTV’s storied history! Best prize ever!
QOTD: I’ve been to the Ventoux… and… wait… I’ll save my joy for the contest!

    QOTD:
I was there September of 2007, you should have left your number with GV.

WTH, dude! How come you had to keep interrupting that poor guest? NEW RULE: No more cocaine for GaryV before an episode with a guest. Let the man finish a sentence, fercryinoutloud, quit trying to put words into his mouth and finish his sentences. Man alive…. At least he was a great sport, putting up with your interruptions calmly, cooly, suavely.

QOTD: Alimony, plus 2 kids in college. THAT’S why [not].

I agree – one of the best WLTV ever. I once tried a wine from the Ventoux and didn’t like it – that’s how I know the wines are no good. Your passion, however, and that of your guest, have inspired me to give The Ventoux one more chance. Why do French areas have “The” in front of it . .I mean – WLTV is not filmed in “The Jersey” . . .

QOTD – I was all set to go but then I tasted that bad wine (forget which one).

I meant the more expensive ones.

let me just say that the French actually drink their wines younger than the english or americans.. especially the younger ones.

    BargePlus

Absolutely, the best ever WLTV by far:

    A great guest with Frederic.

A contest which words fail to adequately describe.

A Mott, Link it Up t-shirt.

    Enjoyable wines.

    And of course, Gary.

This will be hard to top!!!

Nice show to kick off the week.

QOTD: Because I have never been to Europe, and with the dollar in its current state I don’t see going, unless I win the contest.

Sidenote, I just made my first visit to WL on Friday while on a long weekend vaca. The place was great, the help seemed knowledgable, but I have to say they are a little pushy and that rubs me the wrong way in all forms of retail. It was the first time I have had a wineguy (besides my two fav LWS owners) place wine bottles into my hand and say you have to get these and I wasn’t even in that particular part of the wine shop. Granted most of the people were great and gave nice stores about trips to Australia and D’arenberg, but that was a little much for me.

“A sniffy sniff. Not a snippy snip! That’s what we do when we’re first born!”

#1 most classic quote from WineLibraryTV in the mind of an immature 24 year old.

QOTD: Czech women are gorgeous and I didn’t leave Prague when taking classes there, except for Austria (bleh). Hopefully I can come soon!!!

Hope the midwest recovers… George Carlin is the man!

    Hi Gary,
I was hoping you give us a shout out. We are the ESPN Zone Team in Anaheim CA. We are all regular viewers of the Show. Getting a Shout out from Coast to Coast would be a huge thrill. Bring on the Thunder!!!!

    Thank you

If it took this long for a “Mott… Link It Up!” shirt, how long will it take for the “Matt… Link It Up!” that I created in Boston?

Fredrich – I have actually been quite close to Cotes du Ventoux many times, but never actually drove through the region. There’s so much around there… My base has always been in Aix and I’ve spent most of my time in other parts of the Vaucluse (Chateauneuf, Gigondas, etc) and Luberon (or Cassis for the beach). Next time, I promise the Ventoux will be in the cards.

On the other hand, I’ve had the pleasure of drinking many, many wines from Pesquié and have thoroughly enjoyed them. Especially the day-to-day affordable Terrasses. You guys do a great job. Bravo!

    PaVo

    Great episode!
QOTD: I have been around the Ventoux quite a bit, to Rhone Villages especially when I lived in France but I didn’t get into Ventoux until I moved back to the US so I haven’t had the chance to visit yet! YET

  20. June 23, 2008

    Tommy Vernieri

Is that intro new? I’ve got some catching up to do.

QOTD: I haven’t taken a trip to France yet, but when I do the Rhone will definitely be at the top of my list of places to visit.

  21. June 23, 2008

awesome … that is seriously the most awesome contest ever, what an experience!

    Jay

I love how calm that dude was. He knows he’s got good stuff.

QOTD: Unfortunately, that same question could be asked of me just about anywhere in the world. I need to get out and explore different areas.

  24. June 23, 2008

    SarahB

QOTD: Haven’t been to France yet, but it’s on the top of my list.

Great show. Great wines. Great guest.

    Fredrich are you single? :)

    David Dadekian

QOTD: There is no good excuse. I would love to come in September–it’s my birthday week!
