QOTD: Most of my traveling has been stateside, because I didn’t realize it was important to me until quite recently, to see more of the world. I’ve been out of the country to Canada and Mexico. . . but the love of my life has promised me a Europe trip (among other things) – he is Canadian and speaks French fluently, a beautiful language. We hope to go sooner than later. . .

QOTD: My husband was in Paris on business (yes really) and he would have been gone for my 40th BD so my present was a RT ticket to Paris, staying at the Ritz while he worked. Then we spent 10 days getting lost, eating great food and (what else) having some amazing bottles of wine. Luckily before the dollar went bust. Thanks for letting me revisit that adventure!

The contest is an awesome oppurtunity, but sadly it coincides with when my co-worker will be quitting to move to Japan and I will have to take over all his work, so taking off work in september doesn’t look too likely for me.

QOTD: But I HAVE been to the Ventoux. Once to watch the Tour de France, and once to visit my uncle-in-law. My dream is to come back with my bike and ride it myself (just the Ventoux, not le Tour!). Had planned to do it two years ago, but had a massive family crisis and had to cancel at the last minute and eat the cost of the trip. C’est la vie… : ) But you’ve never failed until you give up.
