Love the nerd shows ad this one qualifies. Was that Fredrich de Sade (clothing the serfs in leather and feeding only one in four…great stuff)? And that’s for the winners! The losers get hair shirts and have to forage for scraps.

QOTD: Was there in what seems now as another lifetime.

  17. June 23, 2008

    ChrisFS

I’m glad Fredrich wasn’t arrested at the airport on suspicion of being a terroir-iste
    :)

wow this may have been one of the better episodes in a long while. Love the intro, and the new shirt, and I can only begin to imagine how many people are going to enter the contest.

QOTD: Economics plant workers from Ohio go rollercoaster parks not france unfortunately.

  20. June 23, 2008

    Fangorn81

    Nice Intro!

QOTD: Cause I am POOR! I love Cotes du Ventoux! Unfortunately I will be buying a new car (or scooter if gas keeps going up) before I could even begin to think about European vacations. Not to mention I am hoping to be able to take a trip out to visit an old friend in Bali sometime in the next 10 years!

Oh, and student loans! Ok ok ok, I will stop…but seriously, I would love to be in France right now.

Oh, well. c’est la vie, n’est pas?

  21. June 23, 2008

    DaveyDonut

Very fun and cool episode! And you didn’t interrupt the guest as much this time! ;-) That contest sounds like a blast! I’ve been wanting to go to France for a while, and I’m also interested in getting into wine making, so this would be a blast. I can’t wait to win!

HEY GARY, you’re going to be in Seattle next weekend and Portland on Wednesday. What are your plans? Are you going to be hanging out in Portland at all? Want to go wine tasting? ;-) Want to hang out at a wine bar? My house? The Blues Festival? Just wondering if you are just off then back on a plane, or if you have some to chill… (I’d email you, but you’d never read it before you arrived…)

QOTD: Omm… because I need to renew my Passport!

ummm…wine library reserve is amazing. big ups to whoever is doing the editing on that. and that intro sequence is sweeeeeeet!

QOTD: I have no good answer for that. It’s on the list of places to go and write about on my wine travel blog now.

A mott shirt… its about time
QOTD:I have never been to France before, but when I go I will visit.

Gary, When have you recently had time to play Atari 2600???? and great to see you on Rev3 I now look forward to watching you 2 maybe even 3 times a day!
Pesquie looks like a great up and coming winery, ill keep an eye out for them!

really digging that new produced intro piece… lots of fun on the show today, Fredrich was super cool and laid back. Gary you need to tone it down just a bit when you have guest on otherwise you tend to overpower them! Kudos for the nod to George Carlin, a very important social commentator.

  28. June 23, 2008

    Rick D

    Great new intro.

Gary, the shows with guests, like Fredrich, really bring the thunder. Keep it up.

It’s nice that you showed Mott some love with the tee.

QOTD: Last year it was a trip to Italy, France is set to be the next, unfortunately with the Euro killing the USA bone it may be a while, that is unless I win the contest. I may be getting older, but I can still harvest grapes. My entry has already been sent.

Mott – Don’t forget to link up the Red Cross.

I love how calm that dude was. He knows he’s got good stuff.

QOTD: Unfortunately, that same question could be asked of me just about anywhere in the world. I need to get out and explore different areas.

  40. June 23, 2008

    Tommy Vernieri

Is that intro new? I’ve got some catching up to do.

QOTD: I haven’t taken a trip to France yet, but when I do the Rhone will definitely be at the top of my list of places to visit.

  41. June 23, 2008

    PaVo

    Great episode!
QOTD: I have been around the Ventoux quite a bit, to Rhone Villages especially when I lived in France but I didn’t get into Ventoux until I moved back to the US so I haven’t had the chance to visit yet! YET

  42. June 23, 2008

    Flavio

Fredrich – I have actually been quite close to Cotes du Ventoux many times, but never actually drove through the region. There’s so much around there… My base has always been in Aix and I’ve spent most of my time in other parts of the Vaucluse (Chateauneuf, Gigondas, etc) and Luberon (or Cassis for the beach). Next time, I promise the Ventoux will be in the cards.

On the other hand, I’ve had the pleasure of drinking many, many wines from Pesquié and have thoroughly enjoyed them. Especially the day-to-day affordable Terrasses. You guys do a great job. Bravo!

If it took this long for a “Mott… Link It Up!” shirt, how long will it take for the “Matt… Link It Up!” that I created in Boston?

    Hi Gary,
I was hoping you give us a shout out. We are the ESPN Zone Team in Anaheim CA. We are all regular viewers of the Show. Getting a Shout out from Coast to Coast would be a huge thrill. Bring on the Thunder!!!!

“A sniffy sniff. Not a snippy snip! That’s what we do when we’re first born!”

#1 most classic quote from WineLibraryTV in the mind of an immature 24 year old.

QOTD: Czech women are gorgeous and I didn’t leave Prague when taking classes there, except for Austria (bleh). Hopefully I can come soon!!!

Hope the midwest recovers… George Carlin is the man!

  46. June 23, 2008

    manonthemoon

Nice show to kick off the week.

QOTD: Because I have never been to Europe, and with the dollar in its current state I don’t see going, unless I win the contest.

Sidenote, I just made my first visit to WL on Friday while on a long weekend vaca. The place was great, the help seemed knowledgable, but I have to say they are a little pushy and that rubs me the wrong way in all forms of retail. It was the first time I have had a wineguy (besides my two fav LWS owners) place wine bottles into my hand and say you have to get these and I wasn’t even in that particular part of the wine shop. Granted most of the people were great and gave nice stores about trips to Australia and D’arenberg, but that was a little much for me.

  47. June 23, 2008

    BargePlus

Absolutely, the best ever WLTV by far:

    A great guest with Frederic.

A contest which words fail to adequately describe.

A Mott, Link it Up t-shirt.

    Enjoyable wines.

    And of course, Gary.

This will be hard to top!!!

  48. June 23, 2008

    jason carey

let me just say that the French actually drink their wines younger than the english or americans.. especially the younger ones.

  49. June 23, 2008

    jason carey

I meant the more expensive ones.

  50. June 23, 2008

    Zinny

I agree – one of the best WLTV ever. I once tried a wine from the Ventoux and didn’t like it – that’s how I know the wines are no good. Your passion, however, and that of your guest, have inspired me to give The Ventoux one more chance. Why do French areas have “The” in front of it . .I mean – WLTV is not filmed in “The Jersey” . . .

QOTD – I was all set to go but then I tasted that bad wine (forget which one).

  51. June 23, 2008

    Pastafari Pirate

WTH, dude! How come you had to keep interrupting that poor guest? NEW RULE: No more cocaine for GaryV before an episode with a guest. Let the man finish a sentence, fercryinoutloud, quit trying to put words into his mouth and finish his sentences. Man alive…. At least he was a great sport, putting up with your interruptions calmly, cooly, suavely.

QOTD: Alimony, plus 2 kids in college. THAT’S why [not].

  52. June 23, 2008

    laposte

    QOTD:
I was there September of 2007, you should have left your number with GV.

  53. June 23, 2008

    KenP

Tremendous episode! Brought a smile to my face, no, tears! One of the best shows in WLTV’s storied history! Best prize ever!
QOTD: I’ve been to the Ventoux… and… wait… I’ll save my joy for the contest!

  54. June 23, 2008

    thisIslandEarth

Fantastic episode!! Very interesting. Thanks for not interrupting your guest so much GV — I know you don’t mean to but in the past that has been a gr8 annoyance — anyways just a super episode.

I really enjoy the shows with winemakers. QOTD – I have been to Provence, Avignon, and stayed in Gigondas recently. The area is great for wine, food, and relazing.

Incredible show!!! My wife and I had so much fun meeting Fredrich.

QOTD: Don’t have the flo to make on an international wine tour at this point but pumped about a future opp.

Great Show. He’s a sexy Frenchman–definitely brought the thunder.
QOTD: Haven’t visited France. Love visiting the USA. Maybe someday I will go to France—but on vacation. Not a working one which the contest seems to be.

Very excited about the Mott T-shirt!

  59. June 23, 2008

    washuta

QOTD: I did live in France for 4 months, and now I regret not exploring the wine regions to nearly the depth that I would if I was given the opportunity again.

  60. June 23, 2008

    Dominus

I want his hair. Great guest, speaks fluent English, handsome and owns a French winery . . . he’s living in my dream world.

QOTD: Been to France, love the country and the people (Sarkozy is a major improvement) and will go back again soon.

    à la votre!

  61. June 23, 2008

    John Cabot

Great show GV!! Love Ventoux wines. Awsome intro. Dude, you continue to bring it.
    Johnny Cab

  62. June 23, 2008

    E

C’mon, you gave the Terrasses an 85 … that’s a very good wine, right? Not really panning it all that much.

Thing is, I think that’s the only one of the wines you blind-tasted that I didn’t try, and now I really wish I had. I’ll have to pick one up when I am back in town Friday.

Thanks again for coming out to IA though … thoroughly worth the drive (and yes, I did arrive home safely just after 3 am).

I would deeply deeply love to do the contest, but I can’t – I’m down south that week with the relatives saying goodbye to a member of the family. Thanks anyway, though.

    It’s Berzerk, not Berzerker.

QOD: I got nothing, but thanks for reminding me to get a freakin’ passport already. Next time, I promise. Oh, and it probably has something to do with my French being utter merde.

Great Episode – wonderful opportunity – I’ve submitted, I can only pray that they put me to work!!

    The Ben

Holy crap an intro! Indeed RIP Carlin, my earliest memories of my father laughing were watching that guy on HBO.
QOTD: Never been, always wanted to go to France, but I guess the passion wasn’t there…yet. More on that in the contest. Thank you Gary for rocking me out of my chair with the thunder!

I was listening to this broadcast in the background as I am writing and trying to get this crazy website going…and the thing that catches my ear is:

    wireless internet… in France…

And I wonder if my American computer will speak French WiFi? When my housemate was here last year (an intern from France working at FFC in Sonoma), her French computer didn’t speak American WiFi.

And how’s that for a public-three-dimensonal-neon- capital “L” over my head.

  69. June 23, 2008

    laurie in VT

Fredrich is completely charming, what a great guest (and show)! Please don’t wait 3 years to invite him back!

And YAY! Finally! Mott has his shirt. It is about time! I am most pleased.

QOTD: Because when I was young and had the means and the time, I was ignorant of the regions of France. Had I gone then, I might never have come home… ;)

Go Mott. got to get the shirt.
Just got back from Iowa City and saw much of what you saw and some of the flooding in Indiana as well. Wish all of those people well. I second GV here give what you can. This was a slow moving Katrina.
I love the south of France but haven’t been to Pesquie winery and vineyards so I should go.

    Gary and Fredrich,

Great Great show. Way to bring the thug nasty thunder today. Freaking amazing contest. I almost crapped myself.

QOTD – Due to insufficient funds, I have yet to visit France, but it is on the to do list of world travel and Winery touring.

  74. June 23, 2008

    ex-lurkdawg

qotd: I haven’t been able to see as much of France as I would like because of money and time restrictions, but I would love to see the Ventoux. Every year at this time I make an effort to drink plenty of rose wines from that area, but I have found some of the reds to be very nice as well. Thanks for another great show. I agree that it’s better not to score the wines when you have a guest who represents them in some way.

  75. June 23, 2008

    Mikey K

Gary, gary gary, you need to rethink your Revision 3 editing. I just watched the show on Revision 3 and was not entirely impressed. I love WLTV and Revision 3, I thought the pairing would be amazing. Your personality just didn’t shine with that edit. I come to WLTV and Revision 3 for the content but also for the personalities. I recommend the show being posted just as it is on WLTV. If you have any control over your content there lets make sure they know how to properly view the thunder!

  76. June 23, 2008

    CBone

Great intro sequence, really professionally done. The show just keeps getting better.

Top Drawer Episode!! Grrreat contest, astounding development on tee-shirt front, and charming guest…

QOTD: Have actually visited quite a bit in days of yore – visited my folks at NATO air base in Marville until M. DeGaulle “invited” our military to leave 8>( Had some marvellous times visiting Loire chateaux and wineries, Champagne country, Alsace etc.

    KyleLikesTies

    The “Link it up Mott” shirt!!!!!!!!!!! At last! Congrats, Mott … You’ve definitely the best WLTV shirt so far ;~}

I love the new intro, too. Very classy, very well-done.

QoTD: I have to vaguely second CBone’s answer … So many places to go, so little time (and, let’s be serious: money!). I’d gladly come to do slave labour any day, though!

  79. June 23, 2008

    Richard Ritter

Gary: An intro, guest, and studio audience? I think you’re growing the show really well. Does your five year plan include a network TV show?… me thinks it should.

QOTD: Finances and family have kept me from visiting any part of the world outside of the USA for the past 7 years. Plus I’ve been waiting for some kind of contest to win in order to be able to get over to France.

  80. June 24, 2008

    Adam J

Crazy episode. Crazy contest. I love it all.
QOTD: I’m sorry, but I was unaware that it existed. Now that I know about it I may just have to make a trip.

  81. June 24, 2008

    onekailuaboy

QOTD- Never been to France but have sippy sipped many oustanding wines from there. Too friggin far, 1/2 way around the world for me (Hawaii). The plane ride would kill my arse. Now if I won the contest. . . I gotta make sacrifices ya know. My best French experiences were a ‘95 Chateauneuf-du-Pape that I recently had, and a surfer girl from Biarritz that I once knew. Both were difficult to forget.

  82. June 24, 2008

    Andrew D

    Thanks Gary

Fantastic show – what a lovely bloke.

QOTD: I haven’t visited the winerary, but I’ve spent a bit of time in that area and I keep going back when ever I get a chance. France – love it!

Congrats on the double blind results, i’ll have to check it out tomorrow. maybe you can “link it up” tomorrow or something.

QOTD: Post-secondary school kept me so busy for the past 7 years, but now that I have joined the work force, a trip to France certainly is not out of the question.

  85. June 24, 2008

    Hello Gary Vee:
I tried ordering a MOTT tee but it turns out there is no option for international users of the wine library, that’s a bit frustrating because I really want one ( two, really ) .

I hope that you can help to get around this problem. ( I live in Monterrey, Mx )

Wonderful show!! Love the new intro so classy and professional!! Wonderful guest to hope you don’t wait 3 years to bring him back. He is very charming and funny! The two of you make a great team!!

Way to Go Mott!!! Love the shirt so glad you finally got one!

QOTD: Would love to go to France but putting my son through school is my number one priority right now. I would like to take him there when he graduates I think it would be a great experience if I can afford it. I want to travel more now but the prices are redonkulous!

Thanks for the wonderful show its always entertaining and informative, didn’t know about the coatings on the barrels and why you wouldn’t use 2 year old barrels.

    Good ending.

Qotd: I have only made it to France once and was unable to go around the country very much, but I would love to come back! The contest does not work out for me timing wise but that is a very awesome generous offer! Thanks for the show!

The fact that both of the Pesquie wines scored 91 yet are priced differently, are made differently, and taste different demonstrates the uselessness of points. Eliminating these differences by boiling a judgment down to a mere number is a disservice to the winemaker, the chateau, wine consumers and the wines themselves.

The best way Wine Library TV can truly change the wine world is to get rid of scores and points once and for all.

Great episode! Love the contest… very tempting.

HOWEVER, it’s not the contest I was hoping for.
I made a SPOOF video for the “contest” mentioned
    in episode #436.

    Watch it here!

What do you think? Am I just like Gary?

Love the juxtaposition of the Frenchie and the straight up Jersey boy. Nice to see the French getting schooled on wine!

  97. June 24, 2008

    M. Nurn

QOTD: I haven’t been to the Chateau Pesquie in the Ventoux because my cash flow has limited my travels, and the Euro is wamping on the dollar. Would love to get there for the harvest though, what a great contest!

Great show, keep bringing the thunder!

  98. June 24, 2008

QOTD: Last time I was in France I was only able to hit up Paris, I didn’t have enough time to go to the wine country, but it would be amazing to go!

  102. June 24, 2008

    California Cab lover

Nice slick intro. I was worried though, that you might become too slick. Then I watched and you were the same. Hilarious!

    QOTD: Never been to Europe.

  103. June 24, 2008

Great show guys. I really enjoyed it. Interesting, educational and entertaining.
And props for the red cross link up. I like stuff like that. The world needs more compassion.

QOTD: I’ve never visited France. I would love to. I’ll check it out when I do!

  106. June 24, 2008

    jtmac

Great episode! I’ve been watching for 2 weeks now and I realized that its time to delurk. Fredrich was a great guest because he didn’t try to overpromote his wine. He just had a good time and listened to your praise/criticism. C.K.C.!

GREAT ending!! I hope you throw in an occasional “whether they like it or Mott” time and again. Or maybe that is the next great Mott t-shirt??

Another one of the great WLTV shows. Thanks. Liked the cool intro also. And congradulations to Mott for finally getting his own T-Shirt. Well deserved.

QOTD: I have not ventured out of the county much in my life time. I will definitely seek out Pesquie wines though.

  111. June 24, 2008

    CJRice

not a big fan of the intro…

we have started watching from the first episode and saw the big turn around when Gary turned down the TV deals. The show gained life/personality after that point.

I am worried about the direction of the show. Here come fancy graphics, big advertisers and all the other “conventional” things podcasts do.

  112. June 24, 2008

    VinoVixen

OMG….great show…love the intro??? Is that permanent???

QOTD: I LOVE the South of France. The best vacation I have ever had. But somehow I missed seeing Ventoux. So I need to come back to make and make a mend by picking, sorting, crushing, fermenting, bottling and drinking the juice :-)

  113. June 24, 2008

    VinoVixen

Oh yes, congrats Mott…on your t-shirt!

  114. June 24, 2008

    Sharon

Thanks for introducing me to a great winery that I had never heard of before. Good show! I entered the contest. PICK MEEEEEE!
QOTD: I’ve never been to Cotes du Ventoux. Apparently I’ve been waiting my whole life to win this contest, is why.

  115. June 24, 2008

    Susan

  117. June 24, 2008

    niklopez98

Fredrich’s layed back attitude mixed with your energy made for a great show! Mott: Well done buddy! glad to see you doing your thing! that hand “clicking” graphic is perfect, it reminds me of a nintendo shirt or something, ha ha!

QOTD: I was in the Air Force and instead of gettting stationed throughout the world i got sent right back to my home state of WA! :( I would put in some very hard work for Fredrich and the Chateau have some fun doing it!

  118. June 24, 2008

    niklopez98

o and what an opportunity! I know everyone else is thinking it so on behalf of the Vaynernation, Thanks for putting out such an amazing opportunity to experience the world and the world of wine! I wanna bring those guys some Thunder!

  119. June 24, 2008

    ChinonRouge

Great episode. Gary, I really like the fact that you are honest in your wine reviews, even with the wine maker sitting next to you. Kudos to you and Mr. Pesquie for making the wine world better.

  120. June 24, 2008

    Tisha Havens

QOTD answer… But I have been to the Ventoux! Unfortunately, it was 20 years ago, and I was too young (age 12) and too dumb to appreciate wine. Maybe I’ll win, and have a chance to see it all through wiser eyes!

  121. June 24, 2008

    Jc

    Hey Gary,
Im new to the show, very entertaining. Keep up the good work.

  122. June 24, 2008

    Rob Jensen

Wonderful show! And mad thanks for the shout out (Jeanette loved it) and giving Iowa some Wine Library love!

Oh and the new opening is tops… Rev3 is giving some great value to the thunder show right out of the box.

  123. June 24, 2008

    Harry

Great show – Maybe the best ever in my opinion. It brought a new level of knowledge and passion, easily bringing to to the 3rd or 4th most passionate wine program on the internetz. Ant the contest is an amazing opportunity. I’ve wanted to go to the Rhone valley ever since I first fell in love with wines (I thought they were cute before, but didn’t truly realize their beauty until perhaps 5 or 6 years ago). I haven’t had the money or time to go travel there in the past, although I endured a lot to try and earn a trip. But perhaps today I’ve got a Golden Ticket. If it can happen to Charlie Bucket, it could happen to you (or me, please pick me!!!).

  124. June 24, 2008

    Neil

    Loved the intro.

QOTD: I would enjoy travelling to France but can’t right now due to work related commitments.

Mott finally got some WLTV love.

  125. June 24, 2008

    MacNPhish

Hmmmm new Mott shirt? I think I heard something about a Mott v 2.0 that might bring more Thunder…..

QOTD: Love France, used to live in the Netherlands, traveled all around France and drank LOTS of wine. :) Need to go back soon. And check out Chateau Pesquie.

  126. June 24, 2008

    ChrisH

Great show Gary. I’m pumped about the contest.

QOTD: I simply don’t make enough money to justify making an oversees trip. I would love to see the beautiful French countryside so if I ever get out there I will have to look you up ;)

  127. June 24, 2008

    Robin C

QOTD: I haven’t been to France since I was in grade school. When I go again I would love to visit Cotes du Ventoux because of the wines and because I now know a friendly face there.

I knew Mott would get his shirt. We need a Sasha shirt next.

  128. June 24, 2008

    BF

Wait a minute. “Work” and “France” in the same sentence???? At least we know it will be part-time.

  129. June 24, 2008

    JohnL.

We just got back from 12 days in France 3 weeks ago.
Absolutely LOVED it! Started in Paris ended up in Monte Carlo.
We had at least 2 bottles of red wine every day in each town or city we stayed in. Never had the same wine twice and yet never had a bad bottle of wine the whole trip. It was the trip of a lifetime because it may take us that long to pay off all the bills! The dollar is getting demolished against the Euro. A can of sardines for lunch in a cafe was about $17 dollars american. Would go back in a heartbeat if I won the lottery.

  130. June 24, 2008

    BobbyTiger

Nice shout out for the American Red Cross. They do such a great job putting up with the crap that happens to our country. QOTD- never been to the winery, or France, or Europe, because the US$ is playing a major role in the “crap that (is happening in) our country”.

  131. June 24, 2008

    Harley Stan

Great Episode, Mott finally gets his shirt:)
    QOTD- No excuse sir

  132. June 24, 2008

    RANDI

QOTD: I dont know..but Im on my way!!! :)
Im thinking, if I wear the Mott Link It Up with the pointing finger tshirt, its going to look suggestive! LOL
    Great show! Delicious guest!
Gary, if I send in my book, will you sign it?

  133. June 24, 2008

    pawncop

Great episode. Just ordered two Mott shirts.

QOTD – I don’t get out of Texas so much but might go over there one day.

Gary I would offer a suggestion that you get each guest their own spit bucket. That could be as neat as the other prizes.

  134. June 24, 2008

    SoCalDaveL

Wow. GREAT OPENING to the show. Love the visual. And I see the friendship w/ K-Rose is paying off..

  136. June 24, 2008

    Laura Gellman

AWESOME EPISODE!!! Insanely charming guest – great contest, very very well done – Chapeau!

QOTD: But I HAVE been to the Ventoux. Once to watch the Tour de France, and once to visit my uncle-in-law. My dream is to come back with my bike and ride it myself (just the Ventoux, not le Tour!). Had planned to do it two years ago, but had a massive family crisis and had to cancel at the last minute and eat the cost of the trip. C’est la vie… : ) But you’ve never failed until you give up.

  137. June 24, 2008

    Alex

QOTD: No funds! France (and Europe in general) is on my list. A winery would be the perfect place to make that happen.

Badass idea for the contest too. The perfect way to get people into the vino.

  138. June 24, 2008

    amgryger

QOTD: Haven’t been to France yet at all, unfortunately.

The contest is an awesome oppurtunity, but sadly it coincides with when my co-worker will be quitting to move to Japan and I will have to take over all his work, so taking off work in september doesn’t look too likely for me.

  139. June 24, 2008

    Great show Gary. More Ventoux!

  149. June 25, 2008

    Stephanie from So CA

Great show! Love the t-shirt and it is a “must have” in my house!

QOTD: My husband was in Paris on business (yes really) and he would have been gone for my 40th BD so my present was a RT ticket to Paris, staying at the Ritz while he worked. Then we spent 10 days getting lost, eating great food and (what else) having some amazing bottles of wine. Luckily before the dollar went bust. Thanks for letting me revisit that adventure!

  150. June 25, 2008

    Linderelli

    hilarious shirt! AW loves it.

QOTD: Most of my traveling has been stateside, because I didn’t realize it was important to me until quite recently, to see more of the world. I’ve been out of the country to Canada and Mexico. . . but the love of my life has promised me a Europe trip (among other things) – he is Canadian and speaks French fluently, a beautiful language. We hope to go sooner than later. . .

  151. June 25, 2008

What a great prize!!! If I wasn’t already going to be doing that, I’d be so ready to go! The wines sound really great too!

QOTD: Parce que je ne suis jamais allée aux côtes ventoux. Je sais que c’est une mauvaise decision et je voudrais réparer cette situation. Merci pour être venu Frédéric!

Yes! Finally, Mott gets his T-shirt! I’m buying one. QOTD: France used to intimidate me, and I didn’t know anything about the various wine regions. If someone said “Ventoux”, I’d have said “Bless you!”

  161. June 27, 2008

    Shannon Pierce

Gary – thanks so much for the shot out! Rich & I had just gotten married the day we went to your book signing in San Fran! 162. June 27, 2008

QOTD: I visited Chateau Pesquie this spring. I can recommend going there to anyone, it is a beautiful place and it is even supposed to have 2 natural hot springs. The Quintessence Blanc is fantastic as well, I wonder why you didn’t have it in the tasting.

  163. June 27, 2008
