QOTD: nothing, bread if there’s any available

Good show. I need to remind myself to keep going back to the woot sites so I don’t miss anything good!

Never heard of wine woot before, but will have to check it out! Best pal cleanser: bland crackers and sparkling water.

    I say bread and water

I normally don’t cleanse my palate either, but if I do, I’d go for Basil Lime Sorbet. It takes fantastic & it’s a good cleanser.

Also, it’s not Hayne Zinfandel, it’s Chase Zinfandel from the Hayne Vineyard.

Cleansing is for wimps. Most people don’t even rinse their glass before the next wine is poured.

    Cool show guys.

QOTD: I like to use just plain crackers.

So here I link in for the start of the next 500 and who do I see but my old friend Dave Studdard. Long time, no talk with Stud. So glad to see wine.woot keeps pressing on. Gary, nice move to cross promote the industry.

One suggestion, Gary, give your guests a chance to speak. You were over-talking Dave at most every turn.

QOTD: water or oyster crackers, plain, simple, no competing taste.

Loved the Show Gary! awesome to put a name to a box of text WD!!

QOTD: I generally drink a bit of water inbetween wine tastings. usually though after my first sniff I take a quick drink of the wine, then sniff again and really contemplate the next sip. Because, you know that’s two sips of wine for one…that’s how I roll.

Also, I’ve got a 2004 chase Cellars from woot today, Vivala Lab Rat! Popping that cork any minute now.

Good show. Your guest was a little timid, but hey, maybe Gary should leave some room for words…

QOTD: No rinse or cleanse is needed for a three wine tasting. When it does get serious, like 5 and up, bread is a good cleanser along with fresh bottled spring water.

Gary, love you, but Jesus Christ, if you invite a guest on, please allow him to get more than 3 words into a sentence before you interrupt him.

If you’re just going to talk over them, why have them on? Cramer was apparently the only one that could hang.

I’d have to go with nothing. Or water, if you can consider that a “food”. But usually, nothing :)

Nice to see one of the faces behind wine.woot! Fun site, and I’ve had good buying experiences there. QOTD: I never take the time to cleanse my palate–too eager to taste the next wine, and the next, and the next . . .

QOTD:: palate cleansers i use (sometimes, not always, mostly when convenient or ABSOLUTELY necessary) and think really work:
    _Water crackers, or baguette
_thin slices of apple (not green, more like a pink lady type)
    _mineral rich sparkling water

or just a good ol fashion mouth rinse of the next wine…i find myself doing this more and more often. Rinsing my mouth just like Gary does his glass between wines.

    Wow! That was really cool!
It’s like when you have two really good friends who haven’t met each other and you finally bring them together.
    Great job WD & GV!

QOTD: I will usually have a beer between bottles of wine to cleanse my palate. Lately Bud Light Lime has been working quite well.

I’m a huge Zin fan and lately I’ve really been diggin the Ridge Zins. Particularly an ‘05 Paso Robles that I had not too long ago. Dave seemed pretty sad that GV “wooted” the Wellington. I think he thought it was going to get a free ride, but no. Good show, wish the wines would’ve been better though.

QOTD: Mild Cheeses, Crackers, and Sparkling Water.

I prefer to live on the edge…….so I don’t cleanse.

    QOTD: plain bread with water.

Interesting show – I’m off to check out Woot, never heard of it.
