QOTD. I think it has already been said price is not the same as quality. So I’ll take some more high quality low price wines from the Old World, thank you!

More wine. There are some real good less expensive wines out there and besides,it is part of my meals.

I am a little confused on who the chick with Gary is. Did I miss her introduction on the show?

I have a hard time with the local wine shows. I’m from Texas and I cringe when Gary has reviewed Texas wine.

Love the stadium show venues… keep it up.

QOTD 1 – more wine, better quality, price will work its way out.
QOTD 2 – definitely Mary Ann

Nancy, I agree. Gary should have done one of the Ohio wine tastings in the stadium of the mistake by the lake. I gave Kindead Ridge its just due in a comment in after the Ohio wine tastings. You guys are the only Ohio wines that I have tasted that are solid.

Did I miss something here? Are all these wines made from Ohio grapes? If not? Why bother to review them? I thought the show was supposed to be about Ohio wines! Any wine maker can make wines from out of state fruit. It wasn’t clear to me why we are reviewing wines made from out of state fruit,

Looking forward to the show from Heinz Field.

    1) More wine – good, bad, who cares.

    2) Marianne

I just wish I had more of Karl Spengler’s wine from the Valley City Wine Club!

Wow. Thanks for the noise. How much fun was this? I really enjoyed reading the comments on this site and loved working with Gary. While not all comments were correct (i.e. Dominus had his opinion but not his facts) they all made me LOL. Anyone intersted in learning about wine education programs in the USA – lemme know. I have been in wine education in Cleveland, NYC and Chicago for years and would love to share any and all info I have about programs around the country. The more you know about wine the more you know you nothing about wine and thats the cool part…in some strange fashion.

GV: Exciting show with a different location.
QOTD: I like to think of the QPR… If I can find a good wine for a good price.. I roll with it! I trust my PAL to lead the way!

    Hey Gary-

Awesome meeting you at the stadium. It was a great show- Go CLEVELAND! To bad the lighting wasn’t better. You and Marianne were great together- soo much energy!!! You must come back and check out the 2009 Cleveland International Wine Show.

    Cheers!

FYI- I’m still thinking the “scratch and sniff” sniffy sniff wristband is the way to go!

PS. QOTD#1- whatever I’m in the mood for–
QOTD #2- neither, give me skipper! LOL

Good show. Ohio finally had a winner. I thought your guest did a fine job.

QOTD1: I would always want better wines less often. But as many have said, price does not always equal quality.

    QOTD2: Always Mary Ann.

  13. August 18, 2008

    Jay

QOTD: The best quality I can find, as often as I can afford it.

  14. August 18, 2008

    Ken F

Fewer bottles, getting tired of cheap and less interesting wine. Also, Ginger!!! Ken

    Justin V

QOTD #1: I would drink less expensive wines, more often.

    QOTD #2: Mary Ann, Totally!

    Great Show.

    Fewer bottles, MORE PRICE!!!

    yum…GINGER!!!

Prob. better wine less often. Fun show – keep it up!

Nice show. That desert wine looks nice.

Question OTD 1: Assuming thunder factor is involved (eg. all wines bring thunder) I would drink fewer expensive bottles.

    Quesion OTD 2: Mary-anne.

    Quote OTD: Apricots for days…

Hey Gary – Great show!!! It was just as fun to watch on WLTV as it was ‘live in person’ (though the lighting was a bit better in person). Marianne has done a TON for the wine community here, and it continues to grow by leaps and bounds. (pompous? hardly!!!)

Thanks for coming out and bringing the thunder the Cleveland area – it was a great couple days! Looking forward to your return!

    QOTD#1 – both – I LOVE finding great deals!
QOTD#2 – given my gender, I’ll go with the professor!

Someone tell Gary to stop grabbing himself aka “adjusting” while tasting wine… its hurting my feelings.

  22. August 18, 2008

    Chris Hansen

I wonder what kind of wines Herman Kosar drinks?

QOTD: Almost unanswerable. I just want good wine. Thus, the QPR!

    QOTD2: Mary Ann

Fake Mott wasn’t good. I hope he doesn’t get his own t-shirt.

  23. August 18, 2008

    Andy

Nice to see Cleveland stadium from a different view.
What a nice variety of wine and thank you for the info.
    QOTD— Better quality less often
    QOTD— MaryAnn

Good show! That was fun. But, it should be said that the Cote Du Bone wines from Rosenblum are the absolute bottom of the barrel – they go for lowest common denominator with those as they are for charity.

QOTD: I would rather drink good wine less often, than drink bad wine more often -but as we all know “expensive” does NOT always mean good, nor does “less expensive” always mean bad. So, I have answered that question in a way that suits me.

    QOTD II: Mary Anne.

  25. August 17, 2008

    Dominus

Gosh, I love Cleveland, OH but she was absolutely annoying in regards to thinking she knows something about wine but comes across quite pompous. On top of that, a BERNIE KOSAR jersey! She could have worn a Vinny Testaverde jersey wine with the G-Man!

QOTD: Less often with great wines and Mary Ann. No question. Hands down. Pluueeezze,

And when you go to Lucas Oil stadium, you better email me to join you!!!!

    Cheers!
    Dom
