QOTD: I had some Nicholas Feuillete house blend a few years back (brown bottle, unsmooth glass – sorta like diamonds or scales pattern) that knocked my socks off.

My very favorite is champagne – Bollinger is the best I’ve tried.
I’ve noticed the price for Bollinger has increased alot more than any other champagne in the last few years. Why is that?

QOTD: A Guinness poured correctly fresh off the tap.

Great show Gary! Need to get some of the Braida!

QOTD: Most definitely have to go back to my childhood with this one. Specifically, the A&W rootbeer, draft version, bought in the restaurant poured directly into the icy cold glass mugs! Second most favorite would be the same rootbeer poured directly into the take-home containers (I can’t remember the shape or what they were made of . . . ) so we could enjoy them with our own glass mugs that we stored in the home freezer for just that reason!

I don’t know much about bubbles but I do enjoy Perrier mineral water especially after a hard night. I’ve had a Veuve Clicquot on New Years Eve for the first time. Good but expensive.

Does Muscato have any relation to Muscadet?

Orange flavored Moxie. I was devasted when our world market stopped carrying it, now I have to drink Orange Crush, which is not as good.

Interesting show. Never had the Moscato as I’m not really into sweet wines, but the Braida D’Asti looks like its worth a big try. (thanks Mott). QOTD- I’ve had just about every bubbly out there, and I keep coming back to Cooks Brute. Yeah, yeah, I know that sounds a tad bit stupid, but…………it is what it is.

    Great show G-Sauce!

QOTD: Gruet Methode Champenoise, Rose. It’s N/V but every year it’s damn nice stuff. Course I’m a sucker for New Mexico wine.

I also like Fresca for taste, but hadn’t thought of it as a bubbly. For sparkly, used to get a Velletri Rose in Ontario many moons ago. Can’t find it in the B.C. listings.

qotd. I had my 1st moscato d’asti this year, and must say I preferred it to any other bubbly i’ve had. It was batasiolo.

QOTD… Got to be A&W Rootbeer in a frozen mug. As a youngster living near Napa CA. we would travel by unairconditioned car down highway 99 to the LA area to visit grandparents several times a year Mom and Dad would stop several times in small towns like Pixley or Delano and we would all have A&W rootbeer
So you are kinda liking the 2 min drill, check out some vintage Joe Montana classics he did it better than anyone.

QOTD – there’s a local pub/microbrewery called The Pumphouse, they make their own beer in the pub…their brewed root beer is amazing! Tastes the way root beer should, tons of liquorish and sassafras! So, Pumphouse Root Beer, hands down!

good times. maybe should have been in june rather than late aug, but that is OK.
QOTD- this will have to fall under the champagne category. i don’t have a to of champagne experience, but i still measure everything against Bolongier NV. i had some last christmas and it did it for me. it had the richness that misses in a lot of mid level champers. after that, it would be a tie with jaqcueson 732 and larmandier – bernier vertus. both are different in style but the 732 has zip and the L-B has character. will seek out some italian bubbles
