QOTD: Majella Sparkling Shiraz is one of the best sparkling wines ive had (I try to look for QPRs!), or german lager. Non alocholic would be some high end lemonade/tonic, or maybe julmust (swedish christmas colaesque drink) as you only get it twice a year (also during easter as påskmust)

you should try the Il Conte d'Alba Moscato d'Asti or the Stella Rosa (by the same company). they are both dessert wines, but the stella rosa is a dessert red. Favorite alcoholic sparkling of mine is a Wilson's Creek Almond Champagne. excellent sparkling for celebrations and sweet. favorite non-alcoholic choice is Canada Dry Ginger Ale.

Bust out a 95 or hell why not a 100 points for the best muscato d'asti ever.
I'm gonna order some for my bubble lovin friends and if it's half as good as you say. I'm giving it a 99.
As you say, preconcieved something or other should not prevent you from giving out 100 frickin points to the best one you've ever had. why can't a weird wine get a bigger score? Is it only reserved for ugly burgundies????????????

Good stuff. I enjoy Muscato.... Think ill look for the Braida, and a nice price on it, too. QOTD: I havent had enough bubbly wines to make a good decision on that. Have had some nice champanges ( among them a Billecart-Salmon Rose), and some Muscati and Prosecco.... I do love me some root beer though, so Im going with Henry Weinhards root beer.

Fresca is probably my preference, ginger ale, cavas, coke, rootbeer (and I loved Shirley Temples when i was little). Now sometimes if I want a little treat I will pour a tiny bit of chambord at the bottom of my sparkling wine.

I'm currently staying on the west shore Lake Garda in Italy and enjoying some of the amazing thunder to be had here (mostly Gropello blended with more tanic grapes). Have just polished off a bottle of Moscato La Versa "Oltrepo Pavese" (not local to here I know) and was not super impressed. It was ok, I mean we DID finish the bottle but would definitly give a big pass in the future. Not sure if this counts as a Moscato d'Asti per se but although there was a strong scent of peaches and it was like drinking the juice that comes with tinned peaches, it didnt really float our boat. Thought we would love it seeing as we're big Procecco fans. Anyway, at least I tried it and have an opinion about it now....
