QOTD: I’ve taken a break from my foray into Pinot Grigio and now I’m going through a bunch of Belgian White Ales.

Love the show as always! Been enjoying some cab franc lately. want to start trying some blind tasting to compare and contrast different varietals and see if I can get better at identifying them.

Can you believe it’s almost football season!!!!!!!

I’ve got the original wristband. QOTD – nothing, I’ve been sick.

I’ve kinda jumped into beer a little. Things like Stone Brewery’s Levitation Ale and the new 12th Anniversary Bitter Chocolate Stout are just phenomenal. But for wine I’ve been trying some viognier and Rose (summers in Phoenix are hot…so don’t give me any crap about the light “girly” wines)

Drinking 04 Bordeaux and Italian varietals as well as a lot of different whites and roses. Thanks for the Bordeaux advice. I’ve put away a few choice 05 but the prices are keeping me in check.

I have that original ghetto wristband but none of the newer ones. Love that bright yellow one.

great show. these days i’ve been trying to drink wines from places i don’t have much experience with. I feel pretty familiar with the west coast, france, and a bit of spain, but i haven’t had much wine from italy, south america, australia or new zealand. so i am trying to broaden my horizons. it’s been a lot of fun!

QOTD: I’ve been buying anything that I’ve never drank, or drank very little. Grenache, Viognier, Cab Franc, Barbera, some Italian regional thingees. Also, going back and trying some plain, old Cabs after futzing around with various other reds for the last couple months.

I’ve got a generation 2 wristband … my wife just doesn’t seem to understand why it’s important to me! Oh well.

Drinking a lot of Italian wines latey (Arnais, Verdiccio, Primitivo, Nero D’Avola, even a great ‘99 Altesino Brunello). Getting ready for next month: three weeks at the “mothership”, Italy!

Gary, and all, any suggestions on smaller vineyards to visit in Tuscany?

Please let me know how to get 3 & 4.
I might drink some Petite Syrah this weekend good with BBQ.
QOTD– Good Italian whites like Vernaccia & Orvieto. Had a sauvignon blanc blend from Italy that was good too. Great values too.

I would LOVE to have any of the Wine Library wristbands! Will keep trying.

QOTD: I’m drinking, exploring and enjoying the wines from Palmina, a Steve Clifton label, which focuses on a full range of wines crafted from Italian varietals grown in Santa Barbara County.

Its been a while since I’ve left a comment, but today I felt the need.

I have all four generations of wristbands. I actually got so many of the 3rd gen that I’ve started regifting them to friends that have started watching the show.

QOTD: My wife has been reading a lot of health books lately and found a bottle of N.S.A. Cabernet from Washington state that is organic and has no sulfites added. I popped and poured it last night and it was really young. I’m excited to try it again tonight after decanting.

Thanks Gary and the WLTV staff for a great show.

I’ve been drinking a lot of tea lately, mostly jasmine oolongs, which have grown on me. Was my goal to replace all my caffeine sources with tea, so I’ve kicked the coffee and soda habits and moved to tea. I feel great and love the taste!

Nice show. I love Petite Sirah. It’s nice to see shows with some of the great lesser known varietals.

Question OTD: I’m drinking Lemon green tea from Lipton, but I’m loving the Vino Vherde, and wheat beers for the Summertime…

Drinking a lot of white wine lately but with the cool weather coming I see some Reds in the future. Recently drank an interesting red over the weekend. 2004 Domaine Lacroix-Vanel Coteaux du Languedoc Clos Melanie.
