Oh boy. I’m a pretty big Tequila guy. I’ve even wrote a few articles for various sites on Tequilas. None of these Tequilas are really considered “sipping” Tequilas. These are barely shot worthy. If anyone is reading this and want’s to try a very nice Tequila, try Casa Nobles and never drink (sip) anything but an Anejo. Reposado is for dogs…LOL.

    Here’s are a few rules of thumb…

    For Margheritas…1800
    For Shots…Patron Anejo
Sipping or with OJ…Casa Nobles Anejo

The Casa Nobles is not as available as the others but worth seeking out. Gary has a special bottle of it in his store encased in glass like it belongs in Fort Knox.

QOTD: I’ve killed people, one with my bare hands (12 year military man and hand to hand combat training instructor).

This episode reminded me of an SNL skit called the Delicious Dish, but with tequilla. Mellllllllllllow!

QOTD: I just revealed this during a meeting today to my new colleagues, I’m a huge water slide enthuseist. Not the suicide slide type, but more of the fast whip around the turns, high up on the sides type.

All i have to say is Cottage Cheese and Chicken Fingers is the best combo out there…..PB&J’s got nothing on it….By the way GV, you’ve got to check out Virgil’s root beer

Nice show. I like the concept but hate that stuff. Tastes like fire water to me. You should do a HIGH END fine and rare cask strengh scotch show and have me on as a guest. Now you’re talkin…!!!!

QOTD: As John Farrin said 7 comments ago…. I’m retired…., so I’m just me. But if I did work, I would say it’s my ability to play guitar. Oh and I make an awesome Red Velvet Cake.

    Hey…. I could have said how good I was in bed right… but I didn’t… :)

    Love the tequila….
QOTD: I’m pretty much an open book–but the one thing my co-workers don’t know about me is that I am a homebody–definitely enjoy staying and doing things at home.

Yes Gary, yes, you CAN sniffy sniff any/everything! ps, and this is basic, if you want to show the color of something clear, put something solid-colored behind it, a piece of white paper, or something solid black (like how the lady at the head shop shows you what color your pipe will turn). or just get a key chain flash light and shine it through from the back.
ok i decided im gonna come down on the train all the way to “dirty jerz,” and bring you some Hudson Valley wine so i can be on (wine library) TV too.
qotd: they don’t know im so lonely.

I’ve never been into tequila and had some Patron Silver the other weekend and was impressed at how smooth it was.

QOTD : They don’t know that I organize charity car show events which help raise money for groups like Relay for Life, WoundedWarriorProject and Hot Water Rescue Group.

You guys are makin me thirsty for a sweet tequila taste (though I usually don’t drink the stuff. Gotta try it!)

QOTD: I guess I usually come out as a clown most of the time at work, probably due to the blue hair. However, I am into things that might be overly serious for most like philosophy (I dig Nietzsche, Heidegger, Marx, the Skeptics, the Existential school of thought), wine (which to me is more fun than serious), quantum physics and other intellectually challenging stuff (i.e. jazz and classical music). Boring, serious stuff (for most).

    Good show!

Great show GV! Fine Tequila is my favorite liquor by far. Unfortunately, you didn’t tell the folks out there that Cuervo is barely tequila, and it tastes awful. By law this liquor only has to contain 51% tequila, the rest being grain neutral spirits. I’ve had many of the premium tequilas, and I have a recomendation: Tonala; either the anejo that comes in a beautiful cream and blue, hand painted square, ceramic container that is also glazed on the inside also to protect flavor. It is made out of the best selected plants of Agave Tequilana Weber, aged for at least two years in white oak barrels. The beautiful decanter is hand crafted in the town of Tonala, Jalisco. The Tonala Reposada is also excellent. They are both had for a reasonable price, and blows the competition out.

    Smell it first!

Sharon, why would those be unavailable? I just got back from my local liquor store and they had the Cabo and Patron, and said they could order in the Corzo.

    Great show Gary as always!

QOTD – They have NO idea that my wife and I host monthly swinger parties at our home!

Chad! I’m from East Brunswick too!! That’s awesome, rocking the EB in the house.

QOTD: I don’t believe in photo shop.

    Great tequila episode!

Love the tequila show. I’m a Don Julio reposado fan myself; gonna try the Cabo for sure.

QOTD: That I spend my free time running in the woods or fishing from a kayak.

Really great show. I love getting away from wine from time to time and I happen to love tequila. It’s funny that you guys drank repesado because that is my least favorite of the three classifications.

QOTD: They don’t know about my blog or about the fact that I’m probably going to be quitting to follow a passion within a couple weeks… :)

People tend to view me as the wine-sipping intellectual in my graduate department, but little do they know that I have a dual personality: the wine-drinking, literature-analyzing side, who only gives way to the beer-swilling, huge fan of Family Guy side… :) What can I say? A person should have several facets!

Cool show. Chad represented. Tequila is a fun drink, but it’s not serious spirit like a single malt scotch. So let’s not confuse the two.

QUOTED: that I’m a fairly dedicated P.C. gamer. Boss would raise his eyebrows in consternation if he knew.

Hmmm. Maybe you should rename your show Unavailable Tequila TV. Just a thought.

I like Patron and Cabo Wabo. I found that 1800 Silver is an excellent QPR.

QOTD: I work from home, and I join conference calls while on the toilet.

I have Corzo, but I haven’t opened it yet. I just use tequila for margaritas. My favorite margarita: equal parts of tequila, orange liquor (Mandarine Napoleon is my favorite), lime juice, and add superfine sugar to taste. The better the tequila the less sugar is needed.
QOTD: Everyone knows everything about me and if they don’t my husband tells them.

    1. I’ve never seen Mexicans slowly sipping tequila. Tequila=shots

    2. I don’t know about running plays but Ahmad Rashad (NBA Sports Journalist) had a 98 yrd catch while with the Vikings back in the day that didn’t score a touchdown.

    Fun show.

My good side, thank God, overpowers my bad side and won’t allow me to have Tequila anymore, I prefer to stay out of jail. I had to give it up after college. The thing about Tequila is you can get too drunk, but your still able to move which is BIG trouble. Brain in park, body in drive, not good. No, I can’t share those stories they are in the vault, if ya know what I mean.

QOTD: that I am an award winning homebrewer and BJCP certified beer judge.
