Really fun show, good friends are irreplaceable. This show got me thinking of some of the crazy sh.. I pulled with some of my high school and college friends. You should have been on the couch for Laid back? Friday. I can see you guys sitting there slugging each other in the arms.

QOTD: I just bought some 2006 Rosenblum Petite Syrah Heritage Clones that you had on the show a few episodes ago. Have never had a Petite Syrah. I am excited about trying this wine.

Fun show Gary, say Hi to you friends and next time hang out together on the couch with some cheese.

qotd: Sadly there is no labor day in the UK and I’ll be drinking nothing this weekend. Last week I was on a conference and had lots of scottish beer and whiskey.

I always love the guests, and this was no different! Fun show, I am drinking a Fitou, and a Bandol today, and hoping Illinois can shock Mizzou into submission.

QOTD: I will be slingin’ “Black Velvet” cocktails. Just mix equal parts Guinness (EXTRA stout, not the goofy widget can w/ the Americanized recipe inside) with bubbly. Grilling some pizzas and having pals over to enjoy time off with. I’m sure other wines/beers will be consumed as well…..

Like everyone has said, very cool episode! It is heartwarming to watch you reminiscing about fun times with friends. We ALL should make it a point to do that sometimes….”Remember the time….?” I love all my friends and love all of my adventures with them….including driving 4 hours to meet you!

QOTD: Last night was a Loire tasting with some friends…very interesting. Tonight I’m hosting a northwest wines tasting that we’ll pair up with gourmet pizzas. Tomorrow, some friends are coming over for sweet corn/white truffle risotto….don’t know what we’re pairing with that yet! So, yes, lots of the vino has been/will be flowing this weekend! Hope you are doing the same!

Interesting episode. The price point for the Zindfandel even a Howell Mountain is a bit high to me. We will have a Champagne tasting Sunday night with American tapas. Don’t know what that entails but we shall see.

Very good EP- thanks Gary. This is a prime opportunity to express huge thanks to Warnke and Shifrin for all they do to make WLTV happen. You are blessed Gary to have your closest peeps around you doing the job you love! Very best to you and all who you consider your family this holiday weekend. If you’re around perhaps I’ll see you in the store today. -CK

GIVE ME WRISTBANDS…please…Episode 255 (AJV did a great intro) was the first time they graced the silver screen of WLTV. I remember seeing the episode in the archives and before watching, thinking, what’s up with Gray’s hair???

QOTD: Hopefully stopping by Town Wine & Spirits (Riverside, RI) later today for something unique and FUN! The family will be all together (down from Lowell, MA) so it should be fun.

Fantasy draft is tonight as well so combined with some good wines, it should be a good night!

You are second cousins, and Gary is a cousin once removed to Bobby’s dad. Cousins, second cousins, third cousins, and so forth are from the same generation, and the “once removed” label occurs when you are talking about different generations.

I am inviting some friends to a Pinotage tasting. This is varietal that I have drunk often at an African restaurant run by friends of mine, but some reason have never rated any. So this weekend it’s time to change that situation. We’ll be tasting
    2006 Nederburg Pinotage (Western Cape)
2005 Bellingham “Our Founders” Pinotage (Coastal Region)
    2004 Scali Pinotage (Voor Paardeberg)

    I’m looking forward to them.
