Gary, great episode, but, certainly, Ryne Sandberg isn’t a ‘random’ player! :-)

This weekend I was in Stowe, VT and picked up a bottle of Chateau Vieux Chevrol Lalande de Pomerol 2005. Enjoyed it with Lappi cheese, roasted veggies and a strip steak with cognac sauce. It was wicked.

Great Show. For Labor Day Weekend I had Beau Vigne Juliet 2005, Le Muscle 2005, EXP Viognier 2005, Robert Modavi Winery Fume Blanc 2006, and The Prisoner 2006. I like wine!

Great show on my birthday and I finally get to see Brandon. A great guy. Yes, a fun show today.

QOTD: Last night (8/31) I had an ‘05 Bordeaux with our anniversary dinner and on my birthday (8/29) I celebrated with a nice Chianti at my local favorite Italian restaurant.

Cheers to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our great country.

Fun show! We always need more dirt (or should I say, poop) on Vee.

QOTD – for our Labor Day party, we had a 2005 Bella Lily Hill Estate (Dry Creek Valley) zinfandel and a 2004 Fielding Hills merlot (Wahluke Slope – Wa State) to go with our roasted pork loin (seasoned with cinnamon, nutmet, garlic, onion, etc) and fruit chutney, roasted rosemary potatoes, fresh green beans with pine nuts, bacon, and balsamic, and artisan bread. The Bella zinfandel and the pork loin/chutney absolutely KILLED!!! And the merlot…. if you haven’t tried a Fielding Hills merlot, you need to. Thanks to Sean and Kenny for their fabulous hospitality!

A very nice show…once in a while a truely fun show is really enjoyable.
In Spain we do not have this labour weekend (we have labour day on 1st May), but local “fiestas” with corrida and encierro (when the bulls run to the bull ring …and loads of “stupid” people risk their lives running in front of them), and so, we had mainly beer and at lunch a nice pink cava.

PHENOMENAL episode. It was so enjoyable to watch all of the banter and the “storytime” with Brandon and Bobby. It was real. Fantastic.

QOTD: I had a customer tonight that was my previous boss and a master sommelier. He let me taste all of the wines that he brought in, including Krug Grand Cuvee, a 1999 Chapelle Chambertin Gran Cru, 1994 Heitz Cellars Cab., and a 1988 Cos d’Estournel.

Charming. As a loyal customer, it’s great to see the guys who make it happen and naming wines for them is an apt tribute. Well maybe not at those price points.
Anyway, hope the entire winelibrary staff gets to show up sooner or later for a well-deserved curtain call.

I have a 2000 Wolf Blass Cab/Shiraz in my wine fridge. Had it once before a couple of years ago. I remember it being a big explosive wine.

Entertaining episode. WineLibrary must be the best place to work.

QOTD: We drank 2001 wines: Wolf Blass Black Label Cabernet Shiraz; Conn Creek Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Limited Release; Joseph Phelps Syrah; Tenuta Vitanza Brunello di Montalcino; Penfolds Bin 128 Coonawara Shiraz; Chateau Taillefer, Pomerol; and a 2002 Inniskillin Icewine Vidal. We also tried a bottle of the Oklahoma wine Chapel Creek Reserve Meritage, but it must have been bottle shocked. We’ll wait awhile on the other bottle.

Nice to see you guys just working off each other, you can tell you’ve been around each other for a long time. The wine was secondary in this episode, but since I can’t buy it and you didn’t scroe it that’s OK!

Normal weekend here in the U.K. – I’ve opened a German Gewürztraminer and a Turkish Öküzgözü for imbibing.

Now to work backwards over the last 3 weeks of episodes!
