I think that you should track the different states or regions that appear on your show and have rankings, based on an average of the wines on that show. I think that Arizona would be in the #1 slot. That island in Canada would probably be in last. You could post the rankings on a board behind your table when you do one of these shows. It would really add some more competition to the fun.

YAY…ARIZONA! I’m a ‘Zonie, thanks Gary for checking us out. I’ve tried several wines at a local arts festival, overall I liked the whites more than the reds. Another vote to try and get Maynard on the show.

Never had an AZ wine…they’re a little hard to come by in Europe!

QOTD: I think of driving in the desert and looking at the cacti when my family was there for a trip.

QOTD: Never had an AZ wine. I think about oppressively hot temps when I think about AZ. Sign me up for the secret pack.

QOTD: When I think of Arizona, I think of the awful Randy Johnson, and I try to stop thinking about him, but the image gets burned into memory, making me very close to vomiting. I then think of another state.

    Gary,

Michelle did not pan out and up to the #85 jersey hanging on the wall when you assigned 85 points to ‘La Montana’.

When I think of Arizona, I think of spring training and that lying SOB John McCain.

    That’s about it.

Did I mention that lying SOB John McCain?

    Regards,

Also (sorry for the double post!) I’ve never had an Arizona wine, but when I think of Arizona, I can’t help but think of “cactus”. Generic probably, I know, but that’s the first thing that comes to mind.

Really wish I could buy a secret pack, unfortunately I live in the horrible state of Pennsylvania so I can’t buy from Wine Library :(

The Tasting Note - Peter Wood

Never tried an Arizona wine, and when I think of Arizona I think of the flag that looks like a ’60s LSD trip!

I have had a number of AZ wines, the Verde Valley area is starting to take off with new wineries around Page Springs. Most of the wines I have had are the sweeter varieties from Kokopelli I wasn’t a fan, but considering how the barrels of Page Springs impacted a beer brewed and aged in them by Oak Creek brewing I have confidence growing.

Thanks for the birthday shoutout. At least there was one good wine that you tasted. Happy belated Birthday Sasha!!

QOTD: I have never had an Arizona wine. For some reason I think a lot of different sports and the upcoming election when I hear Arizona (gee I wonder why?, Go OBAMA!)

    Good episode.

QOTD: never had an Arizona wine. Will track down that Callaghan though. I love Arizona and always think about a youth conference I went to when I was in high school. Toured the grand canyon. Got a private tour of the Phoenix Suns’ arena and met Kevin Johnson. It was awesome!

No AZ wines as of yet, doubt they have any in my area. When I think of Arizona the first thing that popped into my head was the Cardinals..probably because I am setting my fantasy lineups as we speak.
