    Ok show.

QOTD 1: don’t know, not really a big old world fan.

QOTD 2: It will be close, but I am thinking 24 Jets 20 Pats. Lots of running yards behind that line and brett doesn’t throw the big int.

Rock on! I was just in Nimes last winter.

Did we quit on the eliminator already? If not I’ll take Pittsburgh this week.

YEAH for the Dwight bobblehead! And thanks for that little tidbit at the end, some of us need that sort of information when we just jump into the wine world.

QOTD: I’m predicting, with your influence, this wine will only get better. You probably sold it out through this show. I really don’t know much about football, but I’ll hope for a Jets win just for you!

I hate to be a kill joy, but these wines may languish next to the Languedoc. We’re heading into slower economic times, and there is only so much wine people can buy. Nimes wines of great quality should rise and trade at a level more on par with the Rhone, but they won’t get quite there unless the economy turns around. Let’s all hope Brett beats the pants of the Pats….Jets 24, Pats 21.

Cool — sounds like a wine to look for. I have no predictions, though, until I try one for myself. Hmmmmmmm, Jets or Patriots? I’ll go with Jets, just to make you happy GaryV. :)

QOTD: With people like you pushing the wine they can’t go anywhere but up. Unfortunately for the Jets I think Cassel is going to pull a Brady and be the next great late round pick for the Pats… Sorry Gary, I see a 28 – 24 Pats W

I had to pause the show so I could order 3 bottles of this wine. We love wines from both the So. Rhone and Languedoc, so we had to get some of Costieres de Nimes, especially at 12 bones.

QOTD: I hope the Jets take down the Pats, 24-17

QOTD: no idea on the sine and 24-17 Jets with a little Brett magic…

Thanks GV for the decanting info and the food pairing at the end….

QOTD: I wish the Costieres de Nimes and the Jets all the best. My husband wonders when you’re going to face reality. He discussed what he thought the Patriots would do to the Jets. Let’s hope he’s wrong.

I think that your pronunciation sounds a little Italian. Practicing for the cruise I suppose.

Good wine, great price, very true about the press and the price ( P and P, lol)

Sorry GV, love you dude, but its 23-20 to the hated Pats
Fins on the other hand 24-17 over Arizona

    Dr T from N. Carolina

    Jets, 17-13

The first wine I ever liked was a rose from Nimes. It’s always been a good solid ‘go-to’ region, and I hope it doesn’t become too popular/expensive

    DaveyDonut

QOTD: I predict the region of this wine will remain unknown and prices will stay low for years. I will look to get some soon, though… Jets? There’s no Kellen Clemens… who cares.

    Hey Gary- Good stuff.

QOTD- Jets 37-13. One of the very first real wines I ever bought in 2004 was from the Costieres de Nimes. Good stuff, great area!

    Kevin K

QOTD: Not sure about the wines, but Jets win 21-20.

QOTD…..the wines will be consumed the game will be played

  17. September 12, 2008

    vivianovino

QOTD: I think it will catch on as soon as people figure out how to pronounce it. I also predict a JETS win on Sunday. 21 – 17.

    Pretty pumped on today’s show.
    Gotta get me some.
91+ for $12.00, to me, is a can’t loose. Thanx.
    QOTD………Football?????????
    Pass.

  19. September 12, 2008

    Palmer

QOTD: My prediction is — JETS 20 – PATS 17 — with a late touchdown in there for Wes Welker for my fantasy team…

Hopefully there will continue to be values from the ‘fringe’ areas of France like Nimes for many many years to come.

  20. September 12, 2008

    Clayton Havens

QOTD1: Like the area and the wines I’ve had from there… my wife loves the area.
QOTD2: Jets are so going to take the Pats Thomas won’t be able to run but Coles, Jericho and Brett are going to open it up in the air.

    Smahlatz

Oh – the Spanish lilt onthe pronunciation is interesting – I guess it is down toward that part of the world, but it’s french, it should surely be like cost-yair

  22. September 12, 2008

    BF

cool.. something I’ve never heard of.

  23. September 12, 2008

QOTD: 1. You should have put this in the secret pack before the price skyrockets. It sounds awesome, and once the “critics” expose it, that $50 price is going to be reality.

    2. Jets/Patriots. I predict the game will be played.

  24. September 12, 2008

QOTD – had a costieres de nimes this week – just a generic one – but I was very impressed – excited to see it on the show
