love the decanting notes /suggestion. most peps I know totally screw wine up by not giving enough air… wine is completley different when drank correctly

Is your hair getting shorter? ugh? ghez. Got to let you know. smile.

    Good show. thanks.
Had some Italian reds tonight with friends – two were really petrol in the nose. All were good with cheeses. Come to Cary, NC and the Ciao wine bar. Great Italian wines. Great cheeses.
QOTD: this wine, I gotta get some. Jets… who cares.

QOTD 1: I believe the Rhone (still a value region compared to Bord/Burg)
steadily creeps up in price as the latter becomes untouchable
    to us mere mortals.

QOTD 2: Close game but Pats D pulls it out – Pats 20 Jets 17

Good Show, Laid back on the Friday! QOTD: Jets Win, and the next 36 Months will see the region explode, but not super huge, kinda get to where Canada is sitting right now..

QOTD: I’ve had this wine in the past and liked it. Also have had their “S” (for Syrah). Not seen this line for a while until WL carried it.

I don’t know much about the region, but with reviews like yours it will surely rise in value. Now for the game…I think Cassel is better than people are giving him credit for, and even if he isn’t hes loaded with talent around him. The Jets squeaked by a suspect Miami team so I say look for Patriots to win 27-20.

I’ve heard of Costières de Nimes but have never had one. Soon, I shall. Tonight, a Chateau La Martine, Cuvée Particulière 2005. Great stuff. According to your description Gary, wines from that region should do very well in the future.

Concerning football, I know nothing about it but I hope the Jets do well, just so you can stay pumped about a sport you so very love.

    Guten Tag!

Good show about a wine region I have had little experience though will try soon which leads me to the:

QOTD: I don’t have any idea about the region but sounds good given the rating and price point.

    Jets: 20-17 OT field goal

    Cheers!

QOTD: These quality wines from good producers in southern France are the wines we will look back and kick ourselves for not purchasing more now when they were cheap.
    Don’t watch football…sorry.

Hey Gary, buddy ol’ pal, I’ve noticed you’ve been mentioning the Euro/Dollar conversion rate a lot lately.

Just to inform you, but the US dollar has made huge strides against the Euro in the recent weeks. The gains the Euro made against the US in the last year (and during the 2nd qtr of this year specifically) have essentially been erased.

So the price of the wine is not really an issue right now. European wines should be cheaper in the US right now than at any other point in the last year.

At the beginning of the show, GV made me nervous referring to this product as a tailgating wine (whenever I hear pizza wine or tailgating wine it sets off alarms that signal low quality). I’m glad that GV got the wine and the message to try new wines back on track. Well done! Lots of passion.

QOTD: 1) hopefully this area will breakout; 2) Jets 17 – the neps 14.

Gary: Thanks for keeping it real man. We all are interested in not wasting money on expensive wine that does not deliver the goods. I hope they have enough production to make this selection accesible. You’re the best!
    Smell it first.

QOTD- the area: will be somewhat more popular. Not a dramatic prediction, I know- but I’ll make up for it in the next one:
Jets: kick ass kick ass kick ass kick ass kick ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ; )

QOTD: This wine is going to go up in price. Thanks Gary. I have been drinking this wine for a couple of years and now my secert is out. Damn!!!!

QOTD: I think the game through the first three quarter is going to be close. Within seven points the whole way. The Jets will pull away in the fourth and win 27 to 14.

QOTD—- This area is well under valued G …. Good juice and I like it
