You guys are both “out to lunch” so that seasoning is very fitting for todays show….lol

    Poor Mott!!

I like that guy. He’s cool. He reminds me of a musicians mentality kind of guy so I can’t wait to see his website and his band. I play guitar for 40 years now and I have met many a Tim Hanni in my day…. cool peeps!!!

The show was off balance and disjointed. Not one of my favs.

Interesting little infomercial. Waiting for the chopper/dicer/slicer to come out. Where’s Ron Popeil to bring the “BAM”? Gentleman guest is deserving of respect because of his “credentials” but he was just a bit too full of himself.

At any rate, thank you, Gary, for making certain the wine was mentioned and reviewed. That’s what it’s all about.

the budometer basically says, take your wine like you take your coffee.

While I thought the guest was sub-par, I do like the idea of mixing up the show every once in awhile the something off-beat. Gary clearly also thought the guy was a bit of a douce bag…several good comments from Gary, loved the “oh, you pulled the thunder there” when he came out w/ the italian. keep up the good work. – Your wino friend from Chatham

Gary! was he sponsoring the episode? This was not one of your best episodes…this guy was a little full of himself although he seems brilliant.

I give this episode a PASSSZZZ!

Sorry, that was a really bad show. If I wan’t to watch commercials I can do it on TV. And I really enjoy matching food and wine according to my taste, so I don’t need this VIGNON stuff. That would just take away a lot of the fun and excitement of wine in general, which to me should taste differently with every dish you have it with.

Gary, This is your best quote Ever:
Tim: “There are about 279 Masters of Wine in the World.” Gary: “So, you’re like a JEDI. You are a JEDI!”
That is hilarious man. something totally unexpected. What great quick thinking.
Also, I’m not sold on the Vignon powder, but if I happen to ever see it around I may pick up a small bottle to try it out.

I think this was one of the best episodes of WLTV. Really instructional and an eye opening experience. Two thumbs up!

The guest was interesting, loved to see it. I went and took the test halfway through, after hearing the spiel, and I scored as a sensitive taster, but I think maybe I was too self-censoring, or my palate is too wide. I definitely take my coffee with cream, almost always, but not to quite the level where i dump a bunch out. I always seem to have the problem where I don’t have enough room for my cream, but I have had occasions where I have had too much room.

Alcohol: Single-Malt Scotch/Irish Whiskey/Single Barrel Bourbons, Gin or Vodka and Tonic/Rum and Cokes. Kind of eclectic, but there it is.

Going to have to ask my mother about when she was pregnant with me now.

    Very cool, awesomely interesting.

Interesting…loved the direct question. Is it BS? Gotta respect Tim though. He didn’t shy away from answering that one. I found the early stuff really fascinating – taste buds & hyper-tasters, etc. Not so much w/ the vignon, but it did make for a good discussion. Expanding our thought process.
Mix it up Gary. Keeps us wondering what’s next.

qotd: my mom’s anne — and yes, I love my momma

I liked this episode better the second time around — good but not great. It kinda leaves a bitter aftertaste in my mouth, like a woolly suit coat. I liked the discussion on food science, especially when Hanni told us how to replicate his product (salt + acidity). While this episode had a nice attack and good mid-palate, that all-too corporate finish just isn’t doing it for me…84 pts.

that was really interesting, because i am a science nerd.

good scientific show. I tried it with some salt and a little lemon powder and it works as well. I would like to get some of this though.

Nice commercial. I wish Tim luck with the product. Gary, you were like that masked magician who gives away all of David Blaine’s secrets when you pulled out the BS statement. Is there a Master of Asparagus?

    Great Show!!!

Cool guest. I’m interested in trying his product now.

QOTD: My momma’s name is Amal.
