I would like for you to taste 2007 ECCO DOMANI chard, I would love to see what you think of it. ps met a couple of your haters out wine tasting and they went on this huge anti-garyvee rant, funny bit about it though was when I started saying things I have learned since watching WLTV the response was that they couldn’t agree more.
haha very funny, anyway Iwas thing you might want to get a I love haters shirt or somthin.?

QOTD: Oh, hmmmm, you may have already done this, but how about a naked Chard under $15 show.

Gary, I’m not sure if you’ll still see this, and I haven’t had the current release of either, but I’ve usually been happy with 4 Vines Naked Chard and Louisvale Unwooded Chard, Stellenbosch.

Ummm… Gary, that’s a loon on the label, not a duck. They’re not even closely related.

QOTD: Couldn’t say. Not that big on Chard, to be honest.

Timely show in these difficult times! Thanks.
QOTD: Columbia Crest Grand Estates and Chateau St. Jean are my go to chardonnays in the $10 range.

    Hey GV,
You should come out for the American Food & Wine Festival at Universal Backlot end of each September. THAT is a good time.

QOTD: I know how much everyone hates “big” name wineries but for an under $10 Chard, Beringer makes a nice sippy sip with their California Chardonnay.I keep Chateau St. Jean Chardonnay in my fridge too.

Thanks for helping us save a little dough and still get to drink nice stuff.

Gary, I just love the fact that you still call it Epcot Center! Totally old school! Bummed I missed you there by just one day.

On my show we spent the day Eating Aground the World – wish I could have gotten your input on Drinking (wines) Around World Showcase! ;)

You rock! Thanks for all you do!

Decent show, but it is reminding of some wine shops that I go to.
Great selection of low priced wines that will not impress (KJ), or…
Good selection of very high price wines that are not affordable (Kistler).

How about a show on the $20-somethings?

QOTD – will not find the time to look thru our wines, but the Four Vines Naked that I saw on your show was a winner.

Chardonnay ~$10 (it was $10.99) that has a heavier oak flavor (if that’s what you’re into) is Hahn. Thought it was good but lacked the longer finish you’d expect in a higher price point.

Good show, we’re all about the QPR Chards ~ 10 bones or less.
QOTD: Covey Run; Columbia Crest Grand Estates, Lindeman’s Bin 65 and Rex Goliath Chards. All at a decent price, all w/ a touch of the oak monster (which my pal likes…)

QOTD: Bogle 2007 Chardonnay, i really think its great!

Hey Gary, love to see you review the Columbia Crest Chardonnay (around $10) and any Rosemount or Barefoot wines which I always see for $10 or less.

You definately need to turn the volume up on these Outside broadcasts!

QOTD – under $10 Chardonnay to try……. seriously?……… Nope, sorry, can’t think of any. Now how about White Burgundy under $20?

  23. October 20, 2008

    Scottie P

QOTD: Try New Hope Winery’s Chardonnay for $12.99. It’s not shockingly good but I think it’s pretty good for the price point.

Good show and I appreciate your effort to present the wines that I have access to and review them.

There are two (2) that have struck a cord with me, Wishing Tree 2006 unoaked chardonnay, and Kim Crawford 2006 unoaked chardonnay.

I haven’t personally tried these but they was really intrigued me. First would be the Navarrita Chardonnay/torrontes 2006. I’ve never had a blend of those two grapes- actually I don’t believe that I have ever SeeN it.

WL also has two NY State Chards (Pelligrini East End and Sheldrake Waterfall)… I really want to see vinifera do well in the that region.

I also saw an Italian Chardonnay (Travignoli Gavignano Blanco 2006); with the weak dollar I think this could be a great find if it showed well. It’s blended with 10% Sauv. Blanc it will certainly be a different style.

Thanks for all the passion that you put into WLTV! I hope that you enjoyed your time in Orlando!
