QOTD: Never tried a Touriga Nacional. I have a feeling I’m going to need more than wine on November 4th. How about a secret bourbon pack?

    I’m #14… I try harder!

Cool show on great wines! Touriga’s, to me, are like a cross between a syrah and a cab, sometimes with a little of that zinfandel jammyness thrown in. Big wines, great for some bbq ribs or a steak, and killer, of course, in a port!

QOTD – can’t remember the last one I had since I have only had a few, but I liked them both. Thurston Wolfe, a Columbia Valley winery, does a “JTW Port” from the Columbia Valley, of all places, which has Touriga Nacional in it, and it rocks. Cheers!

Happy Friday! Love the show especially ones from regions that don’t get the credit they deserve.

QOTD: No, I have not but sure to add this one to my Centurion list.

Have a great weekend and good luck to the Jets. 30-17 (Raiders stink)

    Cheers!

P.S. Looking forward to the Secret Pack. I’ll need it to drown my sorrows if Obama wins.

i need to bust out the portueese wines. i am in switzerland and there is a huge contigency from portugal here. so when there are populations, the wine follows. in wine shops and super markets, there are tons of bottles under $15. i just always go to france, italy and spain.
i am going to get a bottle this week

QotD — never had a 100% Touriga Nacional. The table wines made from blends of Port grapes I had in the 90s were pretty odd. The few I’ve had recently have been decent

Greatest Tag Team? Nikolai Volkov claimed to be singing the Russian National Anthem at the beginning of every match, but it was Cara Mia.

I would have to say that the greatest Tag Team of all time was the duo of Big John Studd and Mr. #1derful Paul Orndoff.

    Great Show.
