Great guest! So cool to hear about Bourgogne and what a different world it is from Bordeaux!

QOTD: Of course I’m happy! I’m having the time of my life here learning about wine…not too shabby!

What a treat to have someone as generationally embedded in the wine culture as Monsieur Faiveley on the show. Great job Gary! Just to comment: could it be that the “Sideways” phenomenon influenced the current Burgundy price hikes? Just thinking that Sideways had such an influence on Pinot Noir sales in general that it would ultimately influence the price of Burgundy wines–the mecca of Pinot Noir.

A very good show and a tremendous guest.

QOTD – I am satisfied as opposed to happy. I think I see too much badness in the world to be completely happy.

Absolutely wonderful show. Maybe not as energetic as some, but to “meet” someone from the winery is always a great experience. This is exactly why I love wine. I mean, I certainly love to drink wine, but I have taken many trips to wineries and wine regions and it is always a great experience to see the region and get to know, in some sense, the winemaker and/or owners.

    QOTD: YES!!!

I thought it was a great correlation when you said that the middle wine had a Kasha, that is, cooked grain type of nose, and your guest said there was a spice bread or gingerbread type of nose. Both smells are cooked grain.

QOTD: Sometimes! Unfortunately my coefficient of “happy” is highly influenced by “work”; happy that I have it, unhappy with what it currently entails
