Have never thought too much about chablis. Dont know that Id think about jugged wine if someone asked me about it, but its not something ive tasted a lot of. Time to rethink and retool the ol' noggin! QOTD: The chianti I mentioned several episodes back.

I love ordering Chablis at a restaurant and then seeing the looks from all the people who think they know wine but dont who think I'm an idiot for ordering cheap jug wine. QOTD: Really good stuff: Clerico Barbera D'alba (maybe you recommended it)- huge QPR over other peidmont reds

QOTD: Whatever I'm in the mood for. At the moment, drinking an '05 Merlot from Oakstone.

Sorry for the late comment. After 2 weeks vacation and another frantic couple of weeks back at work, I have a whole month of WLTV to catch up on.

Dude
Nice to see a fellow chablis fan, I recently did a tour of drouhin in the motherland and they were a slight bit rude, but there wines were excellent. I sampled the vaudesir as well and found it impressive but not traditional. Fevre and Dauvissat wines have an extra level to them and they treat you like a king when you visit. I am sipping on a 2000 Bougros Bouguerets from Fevre which is carmel, bitter and sappy but long and balanced, it may be in a dumb stage, but interesting.

Tks for the passion,

Jeff
I am buying a case of the gvain Rocq because I have 2,000 bottles of burgundy and need a change of pace. Like it...

Nice show on my favorite chardonnays - Chablis!! Boy, that last one sounds wonderful, but it is a little pricey.

QOTD: We've been drinking a lot of Spanish wines lately, some Riberas and a couple of Riojas and Priorats. Also some CDP and a Cote Rotie (Gangloff 2004 - wow!!!).

A very happy show indeed!

QOTD : some nice Rioja's over the weekend (we went up north in the Basque Country), but now being on my own at home, I've changed to a nice Belgian white beer. Tomorrow, my boyfriend'll return home again, so I think we'll open a Campo de Borja.
