Gary Vaynerchuk tries 3 very interesting wines in a format he is far more accustomed to. The format you see today is reminiscent to the way Gary and many other wine buyers BUY wine for their establishments!

    Gary,
    Terrific episode. The Best.
As for the Cru Beaujolais, thank you, thank you, thank you.
You got me into Morgon several hundred episodes ago and I call these “poor mans Burgundies”.
I must admit that I am guilty of not leaving comments very often but these wines will bring me out every time.
I was drinking a Babcock pinot when I sat down to watch, but I put the cork back in it, and went down and pulled out a Brouilly I happened to buy last weekend. No comparison. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
QOTD: How long do you think it will take you to turn Beaujolais in to a $75.00 wine.
    Best wishes

QOTD: What did your Dad do when you were young to make you love him so much and cause you to be as passionate (or more) about family and friends as you are about wine?

Also: I would like to know your answer to NJ-Vettester: QOTD: Top 10 movies of all time?

Gary Veeeeeeeeeeeee…. you rocked it on this show! I love the shows when you are so stoked and full of piss and vinegar, like someone shoved a few Madagascar hissing cockroaches in your shorts! Great advice on the gamay. I have only had the beaujoulais (is that how you spell that? probably not…) nouveaus, and those were like kool-aid with a slight kick. I will have to find a REAL gamay and check it out. Thanks for opening our eyes!

QOTD – what would be your top 3 favorite chinon/cab francs, from anywhere, at the moment?

Moulin A Vent – I have one half of case left of these in my cellar!

QOTD: How much BC (Okanagan) wine have you drunk and would you sell it at your store? hah

Fun show ! I agree with you on beaujolais being under rated. I had a beaujolais village last week with my flatmates. I really liked the structure that it had.

My QOTD: what red wine would you recommend for red cote du rhone lovers? (from other countries than France)

PS: I have been writing my 4th year Italian project on Tuscan wines and the past WLTV episodes have been great help ! Thanks Gary ! :)

QOTD- You mentioned your anniversary is coming up (Congrats!). If we hung out, I’d ask you: How did you meet your wife?

QOTD: So when ya comin’ over for dinner?

Sometimes I feel like a weirdo I’m such an Alsace and Beaujolais fan. Such great wines, such great values in the French wine world. I’ll buy a case of the beaujolais you tried if I can get my hands on it….

QOTD: Which 10 wines could I try that would best describe your palate? Then I could really tell how similar our palates were, and where we differed. That would make your reviews even more useful to me.

    QOTD:Do you like Kentucky Bourbons?

Two definete underated vinos. Big fan of the gewurtz as they make some
terrific ones up this way in the Finger Lakes. Also big fan of the Beauj.
Have had some wonderful crus and you are right on about them.

QOTD: When are you coming to upstate NY?

Nice show of various stuff. Enjoyed the Beaujolais rant, as always ;) (every time you’ve done Cru Beau you’ve done this…I always chuckle a bit)

QOTD: If you HAD to, would you give up wine or football?
QOTD2: If you were going to buy a chunk of land in one of the other 46 to start a winery, where would it be and what would you plant?

My question is, do you have any standard “go to” wines you depend on for dinners and guests or are you always mixing it up?

QOTD: Have you ever had a wine that was so good (or so bad) that it brought you to tears?

  16. November 11, 2008

    Eliot (in the Lou)

Great show. I’ll dig into some Gamay next week.

QOTD – If you had to make a choice between drinking wine and marketing/business, which would you choose? In other words, you either have to quit drinking wine or quit your job. Which way do you go?

QOTD 2 – Are you no longer “Friending people up” on Facebook?

  17. November 11, 2008

    Chris Rufkahr

I’m a 38 Year Old Woman!!! Woo Hoo!!! Do you think Gary could do an entire show sitting on his hands? (except for using them to sniffy sniff and whirl, LOL)

QOTD: What high school did you go to? (LOL – that’s just an inside joke for any St. Louis people who might be here.)

SERIOUS QOTD: What was it that took your delivery of the WineLibraryTV Show from a basic wine tasting show to a revolutionary, kick @$$ Wine Tasting Show? Your energy and passion went from 10% in the very beginning to 1010%. What did it?

I liked this episode a lot. It is fun to watch someone so involved with wine still get so excited about different wines, like someone new to the scene. It keeps the show fresh for sure.

QOTD: when can we see an episode with wines available north of the border??

    thanks G.V.

    My birthday is Saturday.

QOTD: When are you buying the Jets? (an estimate)

  24. November 11, 2008

    Greg Cooper

    Gary,

Probably way ahead of me on this but why don’t you offer to provide bubbly to the members of the ‘72 Phins when the Jets beat the Titans on the 23rd? Sounds like a great pub opp to me!

    All the best,

It’s probably been 8-10 years since I’ve had a Lucien Albrecht Gevurztraminer. Thanks for reminding me to revisit favorites from the past.
