QotD: Kit Kats are good but I love Reese's anything and have a hard time resisting them. Had Reese's Whoppers recently, a combination of two of my favorite candies!

We have been doing a tasting locally "Chevron meets Cheval Blanc" Its Brilliant!!! Prosecco with Krispy Kremes, Nice rich merlot with Ding Dongs, BBQ Lil Smokies or Fudge Brownies with Zinfandel, Unoaked Chardonnay with Apple Pie, Rose with Swanson Turkey Pot Pie, there are more. We are taking the snob out of wine

In college, wine and candy didn't go well for me one night. Rough night. Snickers doesn't work.

QOTD: You know, the $100,000 candy bar was my absolute favorite as a child--probably tied with Snickers. However, I ate one this past Halloween, and it was waaaaaaaay too sweet for me. I guess I'm getting old because I now prefer Cacao Reserve 65% Dark Chocolate by Hershey. Go figure!

I am a fan of WLTV and think it is very important to find new and interesting ways to make wine education fun. My contribution to wine education is to put together an event in Toronto, Canada to educate the Millennial Demographic about wine. When I watched your episode on candy bars, a lightbulb went off for an event theme.

Would you be able to give me a few other candybar wine match ups? Are there any candy bars that go with a white wine that you could recommend?

On a quick note, I was surprised there was no Brachetto D'Acqui in the tasting! With its low alcohol and magestic acidity, this raspberry ridden dessert gem would have ben the perfect complement to that Hershey's milk chocolate. Try it out=)

QOTD: My mom is responsible for my recent addiction to the "Take 5" candy bar, and it is killing me! I get off of work and head to the movie store, and that damn candy bar just grills me from the rack, begging to be paired with a (and I am not much of a CA Cabernet drinker) 2004 Trefethen Estate Cabernet Sauvignon...holy testicle Tuesday, Batman, it is incredible=)

My favorite candy bar is something like a Scharffenberger dark chocolate bar.

Gary - Gary - Gary...!! makes sense since high tannins generally pair well with fats and proteins, BUT shouldn't be encouraging your viewers to eat all those hydrogenated trans-fats... A good quality dark or milk chocolate-Yes... but not those health destroyers... take care...
