    Love the blinds.

QOTD: None, just can’t get into Bordeaux, tend to stick to the Rhone when it comes to red french wine.

Hey – thanks for yet a super show.

    Q.O.T.D.:
A few different 05’s, e.g.: a case of Cht. Cantenac Brown (3′cru) and a case of Cht. Belgrave (5′cru).
WISH I had gotten more (do still buy though), but the prices (as all know) do get a bit steep for a CKC :-)

Im trying to seek out some great offers for 04′ Bordeaux instead – e.g. in DK a bottle of 04′ Cht. Cheval Blanc only costs one tenth of a bottle of 05′ – and the 04′ is amazing!!! :-)

(Still hoping for more champagne and port shows – please ;-) )

    Fun show, love Bordeaux!

Q – Have bought a number of different wines from that vintage, have a Chateau La Grave that’s been calling my name. I know it needs more time, but I HATE waiting!!

Gary, you are the BOMB! Epic episode.

I love these blind-tasting shows. I must say, you have an amazing quality/price ratio feeling…unless you’re cheating :)
    Keep up the good work.

I’m trying to wrap my head around Bordeaux and with ‘05 being such a hot vintage, I figured if I’m gonna invest and break my mold, now is the time to do it.

QOTD: I’ve got a bunch at home, but, ironically enough, I did just receive a shipment of some today here at work of….’05 Ch. LaCroix-Chantecaille, St. Emillion, Grand Cru. Not being a big baller, I’m trying to maximize my bucks by staying in the 20-30 range and hoping for the best, ie: I would hate myself for spending major coin on a region that hasn’t been too kind to me in the past. But, given the vintage, I will try to be as picky and smart as I can with my choices, vs. just buying everything because of the press.

you are right gary, some of these wines are not meant to be drunk now and a lot of the lower end 05 bordeaux that i have tasted are like drinking rocks. they are just so tight right now. they will bloom one day and we will be happy that we bought a boat load.

QOTD- where do i friggin start?
a few bottles of each – duhart milion, de fieuzal, la grange, beau – sejour becot, le secret du cardinal, chat. ripeau (st emilion) lots of haut medocs, …… a mag of la fleur de gay, single bottles of la gurgue, la garde, rochet lafon, chat gloria, rauzzan gassies, found a bottle of malscott st exupery in bern for 80 bucks! moulin riche (2nd wine of poyferre) i cannot remember. that is just bordeaux. i sent all of my extra cash 05 last year…. burgundy, rhone….. loire.
**** my wife just found my hidden stash of wines the other day……yikes!

Leoville Barton, Leoville Las Cases, Pinchon Lalande, Pinchon Baron, Ducru Becallioux. all expensive but tasting them, I was blown away by every one of them. The Pape Clement that I did not buy was unbelievable and may be a 100 point wine.

Awesome show Gary Vee! I must say I am a bit ashamed as I have not had a 2005 Bordeaux; however, I am new to wine so I am still exploring what I enjoy and whats out there. Love the show. Keep bringing the Thunder!

Great show. I’ve enjoyed some very good sub-$20 2005 Bordeaux wines this year. I have a 2005 bottle of Chateau Pipeau St. Emilion Grand Cru that I am looking forward to opening when the time is right.
