    Hehe, really enjoy this!

Just came back from the 2005 Bordeaux tasting at last week. Saint-Julien wines obviously won my heart, especially, Ch. Leoville Poyferre, Ch. Lagrange and Ch. Talbot, much better than other Bordeaux red wines. Right time to taste. Graves and Sauternes also rocked.

QOTD: I bought some basic 2005 Bordeaux last year. Amongst, Chateau Grand Ferrand from Entre-Deux-Mers was a sexy and delicate wine, 100% Merlot, and the winner out of a box of six.

Great episode, blind tasting is like lottery. hehe, love it!@

    You lived on a farm?
Nice appearance on the Early Show. You looked comfortable.
Entertaining blind tasting. You’re getting really good at this. Be careful or the 2005s will report you for harrassment.

QOTD: Bought over 50 bottles of different 2005 Chateaus! All latter growths but some great buys! Really love Bordeaux wines and wish I could just once try a 1st growth so I could really gauge my pallet against lesser growths and learn what a REALLY GREAT Bordeaux IS!

QOTD- 05 Cos D’Estournal. Had it at a tasting and had to buy it, I remembered this wine from your vid and your book. Truly out of this world. I’m sure this wine will only get better with time and a wine to have for that very special moment.

Almost forgot. Great job on the CBS Early Show. Too short a segment. Maybe they’ll wise up and give you more time on your next appearance. Harry seemed to enjoy himself. Jackie Johnson, the weather-girl substitute, mentioned she wanted to join in on the wine spot. Hope to see more of you on the major networks.

QOTD: Chateau de Caillac, chateau poutett, chateau de cardinale or le cardinale? a few other of your recommendations–can’t remember all of them. Possibly a Margaux amongst them. I didn’t buy any more than 3 or 4 bottles of one producer–didn’t purchase case lots.

Really enjoy the blind tasting shows.

I got caught up a bit on the 05 Bordeaux thing this year.
I feel any wine collection has to have a couple of classed growths from this
vintage so I blew a whole two week paycheck just to get the Palmer and Ducru-Beaucaillou.

QOTD: Unfortunately, I have not picked up an ‘05 Bordeaux yet. Just getting into trying different wines, but will be trying one in the future.

    Love the blind tasting.

Gary, gotta let up on the Mottster about Plaxico! His G-men may be repeating!!

Love the blind episodes, there’s not bull, just your opinion and then the reveal. I’ve seen you rip some great wines apart based on your palette, and I wonder if it would have happened the same way if not blind. Keep it real and keep it blind.

Two good reasons to stay away from Bordeaux.

Gary, I must say………..As I have watched you at different key notes and different TV shows……You have just gotten better at this!!!! You were extremely FABULOUS and had a great delivery this morning on the CBS Early Show……Just sorry it was sooooo short……not your fault…..CBS just isn’t too bright!!!!!!! :)

    Roberto (rarojas)

loved the show, as usual, love right bank and Cab Fr. so getting a case of this, ONLY based on this show!!!! hope I’m doing the right thing, I trust your palate as it is so similiar to mine.

QOTD: Cos D’Estournel, always undervalued, in my humble opinion. Also La Mission Haut Brion, and bought a whole bunch of second wines from the top names, which I think is a great play.

    Salud!
