Glad to see you back in sparkling form Gary. I sure hope whatever that bug was that hit you, it will not come back for awhile in spite of the exposure of this episode. Very good to see some reasonably priced bubbly, I sure will not be looking for a bottle of Mumm this time around.

QOTD – I’ve had vintage Dom Perignon, once. It was excellent – especially when someone else bought it.

Great episode, Gary! I hope you didn’t get too pelted by the sleet. BTW, if you’re still planning to head to Seattle for the game this weekend, be prepared — we’ve got a nasty storm on the way. Usually it’s just rain at this time of the year, but right now I have 8 inches of snow on my deck. Now, we’re being warned of a “potentially catastrophic” windstorm blowing through tomorrow, and a big snow event following on its heels.

Love the bubbles — not sure if I have a favorite specific champagne, but I definitely lean toward the blanc de blancs. QOTD: the best ever bubbles in my mouth were from a Mexican coca-cola (real sugar, not the corn syrup stuff) after a long hike on a dusty, hot day.

Glad to see you back in the “cold seat” GV. Amazing, even with a cold, exhaust fumes and ice-pellets watering down the bubbly, you can still define the wine. Hope you don’t get pneumonia–your fingers were pretty red.

QOTD: When the expense account pays –Pommery’s “Cuvee Louise” or Krug Rose.
    When I pay–lately, I’ve been enjoying Prosecco–Oriel’s “365″ or the
    Rao’s from your book.
