QOTD: I haven’t tasted a good wine for less than $8.00.
    Fun and lively guest.

Okay, went back to the episode. QOTD: Great wine? Maybe not, but very good wine, yes. With the bumper crops often achieved in California, excess fruit is often sold to producers that can make VERY good wine for $8 or less. ie: 2005 Capolan Merlot $4 one time buy at Trader Joe’s.

    Hmmm I see a sit-com in this…Dueling wine nerds.
    qotd: Yes.

Another great show, and the ending is classic.

QOTD: I don’t think it is possible, unless it is totally by luck since you could not devote enough time and effort to make the wine for 8 dollars.

Nice show as usual. Great ending Mottster. Have had about 3/4 of a bottle of 2007 Saint-Esprit Cote-Du-Rhone and can’t remember the QOTD that you asked 2 minutes ago. Oh well :)

Argh! Just missed the top ten. But loved the episode, the neat wines, and most importantly the awesome guest. One of the best eps so far. I’m feeling a Gewurtztraminer craving coming on.

QOTD: I don’t, but I read that Trader Joe’s in the USA has some that people like. One would be 2006 The California Wine Party Franc Merlot and I think it’s $4.99
