Hawaii. We have a couple good wine retailers in Honolulu (Tamura’s, Fujioka’s) and some wineries on other islands, but nothing noteworthy is made here (unless you’re into pineapple/grape concoctions).

Although the wines were bad, i really enjoyed the show. Double blind and the “other 46″ was so instructional…
QOTD: California. The best place in the world!

QOTD: California now, but born and raised in Missouri (go Tigers!).

I’ve never had a Missouri wine, but my very first Missouri Norton is in my fridge waiting to be opened. My understanding is that Cynthiana and Norton are synonyms for the same grape; some bottles label it as “Norton (Cynthiana)”. Cynthiana is also the name of a small town in MO wine country.

I have had a couple of Illinois whites that were surprisingly palatable, albeit simple.

Finally, a very big congrats to Gary and Lizzie on their exciting news!

That was fun, too bad you weren’t a fan of any of them :) but I think the comment about how you didn’t mean to be disrespectful was good, it’s hard to be honest and try not to offend. Congrats on the pregnancy!

QOTD: Live in Maryland but from New York.

Gary – Congrats on your announcement. I wish you and Lizzie the best for a healthy (and quiet, good sleeper, good eater, etc.) child. I hope you can coordinate your out of town travels so you can be an active part in their life.

Great show, I really enjoyed it even though I do not like wine from the other 46. Your descriptors are classics – a burning garbage truck, mint water, wiffle bat smell, etc.

QTD – Ohio (where I just scanned the web for local school closings as they are expecting the high tomorrow to be 8. No such luck yet although our neighboring county has their major school districts closed.)

Gary, sometimes you’re just a glutton for punishment. Whoever picks your blind tasting wines has a vendetta or something…

Prediction: less than 5 shows before the end of May in which we don’t hear about the Vaynerchuk of the future…such the family man GV

Gary…no dis-respect meant by this question. Why did you (or your staff) bring in 5 barely drinkable wines?!? … AND … now what!?!

QOTD- “the garden state” = Jersey … born & raised! (”the reason we fly ‘em in over Newark, is so they stay away”)!

Hey there – awesome show! Pretty tough wines for a double blind but well done, great to watch and I love that someone else knows what a Whiffle Ball bat smells like :)

Oh and I was raised in Washington State but now live “Down Under” – New South Wales, Australia

    Cheers!

Enjoyed this episode. I watch your vids for a few reasons, but mostly for your exhuberant and humourous approach to educating your fans. Well done Gary. Cheers from Canada – S.

Awesome episode. Anytime I can hear “garbage truck on fire” in a wine context, it’s been a memorable day.

Also, excellent keynote at Affiliate Summit in Vegas and congrats on the thunder bun-in-the-oven!
