Finally got my hands on a bottle: Cuatro Pasos Bierzo 2006
And a pretty red and black bottle it is! Only afterwards found I out that it is supposed to be a 90 points Jane Miller wine. Gonna drink it with friends on Saturday… very excited!!!
    I’ll get back to you…

    Hey Gary,
Great show. I’m an importer and agent for Portuguese and Spanish wines in the British market. I know you’re a big Portugal fan and you should know that the Mencia grape is exactly the same as the Jaen, found in Portugal’s Dao region

Agree with Jim in Atlanta – thanks for the new wine region (to me at least)

QOTD – Still love my hamburger with jalapenos, a Texas favorite.

QOTD: Salami and Mushroom So simple, so YUM!

QOTD: Against my carnivore nature, my favorite pizza starts with the standard pizza: tomato sauce and mozzarella. But then finish with crumbled feta cheese, big slices of tomatoes and artichoke hearts. It’s gotta have the old-school Italian crispy, pizza stone, crust. Finish it off with some fresh ground Parmesano… there’s almost nothing on earth I’d rather put in my mouth.

GV, being a college student I appreciate the value plays – thanks for bringing them to the Thunder Show with greater regularity. Got your book for Christmas – couldn’t put it down! Keep up the great work!

Tough to beat the classic pizza margherita if done right.

    Nice hair, EK! :-)

Good show on the Bierzo region. I have had a few wines from this area (and one was a Palacios) and they have been very good and excellent QPRs as well.

QOTD: I just had a lamb sausage and fontina pizza that was really good and I also like Buffalo Chicken pizzas from time to time, but my favorite standby is pepperoni and hot peppers.

  24. January 21, 2009

    Ryan D

QotD: Big big fan of buffalo chicken pizza. I’ll go with anything, but for the most part I follow my brother’s cardinal rule of pizza toppings: “I like anything on pizza except for vegetables… mushrooms are not vegetables.”

  25. January 20, 2009

    Lisa!

QOTD: ALPINO BRAND Spicy Pizza Topping, of course. It is the BOMB! Check it out!
