I’m thinking Ravens fo sho, but I’m torn in the NFC. I would like to see the cards do something right.

    Ok, I’m down…

    Ravens and Cards…

    A dumb Rhine king

I am kicking myself for passing on the Bogel Petite Sirah I saw in the World Market (20 miles away) not even 2 hours ago!! There was something in my brain that said no, I may have had a tasting in the past that I did not like.

QOTD: A team will win and a team will lose, and if we’re lucky, there may be some inappropriateness in the half time ;)

Check out the magic @ 13:21. Hey, who’s this Christopher dude? Did he pummel Mott to take over the camera spot.

SuperBowl prediction: warm and sunny turning to dark as game commences necessitating the monster lights we all love to see.

I have always found Bogle to be reliable.

QOTD: My prediction is that you will weary of lavender and purple shirts and will begin experimenting with the pink to terra cotta spectrum.

    QOTD: Eagles / Steelers!

QOTD: Steelers vs Cards in the SB

  8. January 16, 2009

    Dr. Dan

I think that the SB slate of combatants is pretty open, but my intuition tells me Eagles and Ravens. So, GV, you are half right.

QOTD: Sorry to disappoint but I’m going with Eagles v Steelers. A couple of rugged defenses, would like to see the match up.

Thanks for always leading the way in motivation, hustle, and most importantly, being real.

Nice show especially to have on dedicated to a Vayniac. I’ve always liked the Bogle but it’s been some time since I’ve had one so I’ll add it to tomorrow’s shopping list.

QOTD: The exact opposite of your picks: Eagles/Steelers, i.e. PA SB with the Steelers winning it all. We won’t get into how this year’s playoffs have been a debacle. 3/4ths of them don’t belong.

    Cheers!

Good to see you finally got around to the Bogle. I keep a case around most of the time for weeknights…Have been picking it up for a year or better since they were ranked a “Best Buy” at the local wine shop. They seem to have a hard time keeping it in stock it’s gotten so popular.

Great show…Congrats again on the family addition.

Nice show. Gotta get some Bogle.

QOTD: Eagles v Ravens. Eagles win in a war of attrition.

I’m glad someone else besides me thinks Cards vs. Ravens! Philly too inconsistent + Ed Reed 3 more picks baby!!!!

Thanks for the tastes – gonna go pick up my Bogle now and head to the girl’s house;)

    Love the small berries.

QOTD: Heart says Cardinals/Ravens, but brain says Steel Curtain/Igles.

    Yeah Lowell!

QOTD: I predict that I will not be watching because I’ll be driving across the country. =(

    PSirah Tampa

I find it really hard to believe the Bogle was best of show, but in my opinion it didn’t really have good competition. There are much better Petite’s out there, but they tend to be produced in small quantities and not distributed.

I have over 400 bottles of Petite Sirah in my cellar (25% of the cellar). What does it take to get Gary’s acknowledgement as a real fan?

QOTD: I predict the Super Bowl will be in TAMPA!

    Pete G

Shocking! One of the more readily available wines anywhere (shops and
restaurants) and it scores an 89. Like you, I haven’t had a Bogle PS in some
time, but I’ll certainly be giving the 06 a whirl. Thanks for the skinny.

QOTD: It’s an all PA day in Tampa

Appreciate the CKC shout out. Go Bears (Cal that is)!

    QOTD: Steelers vs. Iggles.

    GV,

I suspect the dessert style is fortified with that alcohol, picking brix and residual sugar combo. Would be kind of a weak port. Not my stuff for sure especially after your comments.

Boggle, gee they are running wild with that stuff…

Dessert wines are such a scam. They charge huge prices and rarely impress. Are there any good (non sparkling) value dessert wines out there?????
