Excellent episode! Educational and entertaining. Rogov was great!

QOTD: Most likely, but all the conflict will still be around as well (as it has been for centuries).

QOTD: it will exist but not as an exclusively Jewish state… hopefully it will one day exist as a functioning fully representative democracy.

Brilliant episode, I’ve liked Rogov for a couple of years now and enjoyed his ‘08 Israeli Wine Guide. I’m in Israel in a couple of weeks and hope to try a few more good wines.

QOTD – Yes, let’s put it this way… if it doesn’t, then a whole lot of bad will have happened.

    L’chaim!

The guests are adding a new dimension to the blog which is taking it to another level. Here, the cross-generational dialogue was priceless. He put you in your place, in a good way. Great work on guest selection, this is hopefully the future of WLTV.

    Wonderful Episode!

I completely enjoyed the character contrast between both of you. I’m fairly new to wine so this was my first Daniel Rogov experience as well as Kosher Wine. He is an amazing character and I will be Googling for more.

QOTD: Absolutely and you can wager a bottle of Herzog Generation VIII Cabernet Sauvignon on it. Though it might be more appropriate to wager a bottle of Israeli Kosher wine.

    Shalom,

What a great episode and another world class guest. I also loved the line “I’ll call it smoked meat.” I thought I would spew on the keyboard.

QOTD – As one that firmly believes that God is in control, I believe Israel will exist.

Gary, love the Kosher wine tastings, so much so that they end up linked on my site. Nice work with a legendary figure in the Kosher wine world. If anybody wants to see a thorough discussion (and an entertaining one!) of what’s different about Kosher wine, please see my site:

QOTD: Eretz Yisrael will indeed exist in 75 years (ken y’hi ratzon).

    Todah rabbah Gary, and l’chaim!

I do not have any experience with kosher wines but I liked this episode a lot. Rogov seems like a very educated critic and you guys worked well together. In the spirit of trying new types of wines, I think I’ll have to give kosher wine a whirl in the near future.

QOTD – I do believe Israel will exist for many years.

Thanks for the great look at kosher wines.
The question is a little to close to heart to answer in a forum like this, but I hope so. I fear we believe its in Gods hands, and may drive ourselves to extinction with “divine” intentions. As an atheist and a great lover of Israel, it is quite scary.

I’ve never had strictly kosher wines, Interesting show, interesting guest.
I will find some and see if I get something out of them.

    QOTD: loaded question, no comment.
