line of the day – ‘I got tired of watching Michael Irvin on Dallas TV in a fur with 3 ho’s behind him’

Good guest, episode most notable for Mott’s balls up – forgetting to put in a new tape. Firstly saying there’s enough tape and then admitting the problem as the tape almost runs out.

  • Great info (wish you could get a little more excited about the topic though;) Cheers, Lisa

Great show. Don’t worry Mott, we’re all human here. Perfect timing anyway.

WHAT? SERIOUSLY? A BREAK? WHERE IS OUR COMMITMENT TO PRINCIPLE? (fun to get worked up about things that aren’t that aren’t actually a big deal). This guy killed it with the hat.

Gary – If you ever have time, an episode all in Russian with subtitles… that would be awesome.

Any one else down to hear Gary speak Russian?

  • Fun ep so far.
I’ve only had a handful of white Rhones but have had some terrific ones.

    F***ing killer show!

Love the Jets beret, way to butter up the host.

“If a man sweat butter” classic!

    I’ll be back tomorrow.

I would watch a Russian episode with subtitles.

I’d even watch without if there was a guest also speaking Russian and tasting Russian wines.

    Is that possible?

I think a Russian episode would be awesome! Gary, you should have your father on as a guest and only speak Russian the entire time!

I’m sure Mott would get up and quite after trying to get the subtitles up, but man, that would be awesome!

  • Gary’s right, we can’t stop banks and insurance companies from taking over huge brands and chateaux but that’s even more reason to support smaller producers and discover the great wines they are producing. There are so many out there!

Props to Robert for mentioning the fact that Gary’s hat is not made in some sweatshop in China… I so support this way of thinking and consumer behaviour.

Great show, look forward to part 2.

Love the beret!!! Love you, Gary, as always. Like what the guest is saying, but your energies don’t match.

Wouldn’t be a bad idea to have guests turn off cell phones before coming onto the show. I know you say “that’s why I do the show” but it’s not. Less interruptions means more show and it looks more professional.

first of all there is no such thing as a French American Football JETS fan, so the hat is custom made just for you GV. How many guests have done that!

Second, if you wear that to the stadium, that will be the end of the Thunder Show…we’ll need a new host…oh no!

That’s pretty hilarious. I WLTV commercial break. I almost think you should throw in a ridiculous advertisement, maybe a cut of one of the video competition entries, to make this thing complete 🙂

Only been watching for a few months, my favorite show so far. Really like the guest…he’s got his own opinion, which is refreshing

Nice episode, looking forward to tomorrow. Last night my lovely wife translated terroir literally, as “terrace”. It felt good to be able to (gently) correct her French in context. First time in 20 years I have been able to correct her French. Of course, I’m not gloating.

Great show. Love the unexpected commercial break. Will tune in later today to see the “cliffhanger” conclusion of WLTV!

So far part one is great! I’m enjoying the wine, wine related chit chat! Sometimes it’s not all about the bottles you’ve got for the day but the knowledge and experiences I hear about from you and guests that take it to the next level!

    Hi Gary,

I don’t understand the message of Robert, if he has one at all. What is terroir now? I feel, that he is one of the persons who is missing out what it is all on about with you. Make the people smart and happy!

    Cheers mate!

whats with the dallas cowboy hate going on in this episode..I can see if your a ginats fan but a jets fan??? Jets are not in the same conference as dallas so why hate them…You should spend more time hating on the pats..But thats just my own opinion.

    Gary,

Let the guy talk. You tend to overpower any guest who is not a “force of nature” like you are. This guy had great stories, but you kept interrupting him and he was soft spoken and tended to back off.

  • I agree with Robert S. You are normally a very sensitive and aware conversationalist, but give the guy some spotlight even if he’s not as big of a personality as you!

Still lots of wine love going your way Gary!
