Translation for El Perro Verde = The Green Dog, I can’t wait to try a good verdejo white wine… Good show Gary. Suggestion: can you use a white table cover so we can see the wine colors better and may be a close up shoot from the top..

Awesome show- I always get confused about Montelpuciano…its an area where they make Nobile de Montelpuciano using Sango…but then there’s Montelpuciano d’abruzzo…which is NOT made in Montelpuciano…and is made from a grape literally called Montelpuciano…right? Whatever, good wine. QOTD: Trying to learn myself stuff today.

My brain is so fried right now from work. Im not even sure why I attempted to watch this video. Ouch on the first wine, but I love Sprite so woohoo on the second! QOTD: Right now my thing is tossing some coin at some of Seattles finer restaurants. Hey you only live twice…

Just found you today & really glad I did! I will be tuning in…my scene? Cruising up & down the Hudson sipping Chianti…yep – I loooove Chianti & I hope to see you discuss it. Know why? Because it tastes like the grapes it is made from. I like my wine to taste like grapes, but dry, not sweet, with LITTLE hints of other things ….aged in steel, no oak, although sometimes I am suprised by a wine that was aged in wood & I swear you can’t tell. Glad the Ruffino Ducale Gold Label took care of their, uh, issues & is back & bold! Even Napa Cab snobs like it!!! By the way – let me know if you want to tape a show on the Hudson in a yacht. Back drop? NYC skyline! :)

GV – would love to get some of the Italian wine. I have not had many Verdejos, but I generally enjoy Spansh whites.

QOTD – My scene may be considered boring. I have 4 kids with my eldest in her freshman year at college. This leaves us with less “free cash flow” than we are used to, therefore we do not entertain as much as we used to, but we are getting on fine.

Mott! You are the man! I love the surprise appearances!

wicked cool show Gary. This episode is ‘real’ and brings the thunder. It wasn’t too outrageous or showy, just awesome. A co-worker of mine was looking over my shoulder as you tasted the first verdejo (sp?). She was impressed at how rough you were with it, especially when I told her that your store carries the wine.

Love that pour move at the end as well! you’ss have to put the VaynerPatent on it!

QOTD: My scene is work (I am a photographer), my girlfriend (Love you Bethany!), and drinking wine. Also, trying to buy a home…. we’ll see!

Even thought this is late, my scene right now is just relaxing. I have spent the last two months studying for my PhD qualification exams. I finished them up last week, passed, and now need to decompress and catch up on some WLTV.

Dude, did you mix up the glasses somewhere in there??

Anyhow, QUOTD: my “scene”? As far as life in general goes… I can’t get enough of nyc fun-ness. As far as wine goes… love gigondas. Keep up the great work! And do some live stuff in new york sometime!

Great to see Rueda Verdejo getting some appreciation, I’m a big fan of Javier Sanz Villa Narcissa, both the “fresh” version and their Barrel Fermented offering – two great interpretations of the grape.

Good show, I’m falling behind in my viewing though, this is the first one I’ve caught in a couple of weeks (the “benefit” of a spare hour in the evening in an Israeli hotel!).

      LOL at the “final pour”

QOTD – “Empire – Total War” is my current life-waster distraction, Hugh Johnson’s “A Life uncorked” is my reading material, loved the recent BBC “Being Human” show (look out for it in the US!) and trying to decide whether to organise a trip to the East Coast this year (when’s the Vayniac Cab released?).

Great show. Love Spanish white wines!

I am currently training for my first marathon down at the “Flying Pig” Marathon in Cincy the first weekend in May. Got into it through the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) “Team in Training” program. My two year old niece Addison was diagnosed with Leukemia last June, so I joined the program in the fall to raise funds for LLS, not ever thinking I would do a FULL MARATHON–(I originally signed up for the half marathon and have switched over). Figured if Addison could do the treatment (spinal taps, steroids, and chemo) , I could raise funds and run a long distance on her behalf. I have three kids of my own and would never wish this disease upon any child or parent. The training has been challenging, but in the end, I am sure, will be very rewarding.

Holy crap there are a lot of commenters here. I feel like I’m yelling at everyone in Texas Motor Speedway, except I have no reason to go there.

In any case, I recall that Montepulciano D’Abruzzo was discovered to be a Sangiovese clone. However, the Abruzzese would probably never admit to this. These Italian people are fiercely proud of their traditions.

QOTD: My scene is in massive flux since my wife is about to have our first baby.

GV: great show. thanks for stealing the show with the wine that rocked you. I’ll take that anytime.

QOTD: My scene. Don’t know that you’ll back read this but I am leading a campus ministry at the Univ. of Florida. We’re rockin’ the house down here. I am learning a lot about social media and trying to apply that stuff to what we’re doing.

That wine you poured out at the end of the show looked completely like water. How lame…

QOTD: What’s my scene? Working full time as a flight engineer in the US military. It’s fun stuff and keeps me busy. And lately have been really getting interested in the wine world. I was up to visit the Wine Library store yesterday, which was awesome.

What? I didnt know you could leave wine out for 48 hrs! Now I’m into saving 1/2 empty bottles from last night’s party and drinking them instead of throwing in the trash.

I’m drinking the Barone Cornacchia right beside you buddy! Oh my gosh, this stuff is f…ing unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!! I need to place an order right now!

What am I into these days? Trying to find enough work to support the wine habit you got me into. Thanks Gary.

Great show that delivers as usual Gary,

QOTD: Software Engineer by day (and many nights), husband, dad, student pilot, aspiring photographer and Wine student by night and weekends. Throw in some mountain biking and racquetball and that should cover most of it. Oh yeah, I also cut my own grass. It’s much more than just taking in life, I really enjoy this stuff.

      Salud!

      Foo Fighter

QOTD: Hey, that’s awesome: more Eide Bailly employees! I’m in the Fargo office doing IT security. I had always wanted to run my own business some day until I started working for EB, but I had just never worked in such an awesome company before.

      Regarding the show:
I’m 90% sure the glasses were switched during the sniffing!

When Gary thought he was tasting the 48 hour, he was actually tasting the new stuff. Go back and watch it closely and let me know if I’m wrong.
