Definitely a fan of the flab (keep it predominantly wine-focused, though…)

    Also, legit = Hammer. Period.

Great show, but I can’t wait until the bacon pairing; I love bacon. I’ve been watching since episode 200-something, but this is my first time posting.

    QOTD1: Flabby
QOTD2: MC Hammer. If you don’t you’re probably not old enough to be drinking wine anyway.

I like the small talk aka senseless banter

First QOTD – keep up the small talk during the show. Makes it seem like a stream of consciousness just pouring out of your head…

Second QOTD – Legit reminds me of the great MC Hammer

Gary: Legit is good and old-school, but how about the full force of “legitimate”?

As in: “This is good on the mid-palate, but the finish is LEGITIMATE.”

As in: “We were clowns in this game, but now we’re LEGITIMATE.”

    Nice tight episode indeed.

QotD 1/2 – Flabby and Fun – any additional info from you is cool
” real 1- Legit is striaght forward…like it much more that the multiple “play” references each episode.

    1. Flabby
    2. Star Wars episode I (as was wonderfully parodied by the Simpsons – “Worst movie ever, I will only see it 3 more times…. today”) has the most boring middle of any movie ever, but pretty good begining and ending.

Semi-QotD: Dude, it’s your show. Part of your appeal is the conversationality of your reviews and the fact that it seems like you’re talking with us, not at us.

Movie-QotD: The only movie I can come up with is Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The movie is my favorite of all time, a laugh riot from start to finish, and I’ve seen it easily over a hundred times… but the scene where they’re on the boat going to the Castle Aaaaaaaaaaagh has always sort of bothered me as out of place and boring.

QotD: Too legit… too legit to quit [hey hey].

For us vegetarians, in the show about bacon pairing, please include a wine that goes with Francis Bacon (preferrably the one who paints).

There was that scene in the middle of My Dinner With Andre where they were just eating dinner that was pretty boring.

I always see “legalize it” whenever i see the word LEGIT. I dunno why.

1-small talk is great, I love to hear about what you drink on a daily basis
2-how about the deer hunter, although thats more like an hour of sleepy time from the start and then BAM most legit movie ever!

HI Gary! It’s always great to hear about so many different wines. Also, your passion and enthusiasm are really inspiring.

On the Q of the D the first thing that comes to mind when you say “legit” is Starsky & Hutch. LOL!!

QOTD1: Small talk is good, love hearing the wine talk.
QOTD2: I fell asleep for five minutes watching “The Class” in the theater last Friday, but I would recommend the movie, it was really good.
    QOTD3: MC Hammer

QOTD1: When have you ever stayed on topic between wines? I welcome the small talk between wines.
    QOTD2: All children’s movies.
    QOTD3: no answer

I once had a Brunello…..years ago. It lived up to the hype.

I prefer the small talk, asides, and other extras thrown in. It is usually interesting information that we would not get if we had to wait for it come up as a formal topic. That makes it legit.

QOTD: 2 LEGIT 2 LEGIT 2 QUIT ! Really though, I use it a lot too.

Yeah, small talk about wine in between is cool. No idea about the movie, ask my wife she falls asleep during movies all the time. Thanks Gary. I like the shorter format too, maybe do at least 3 wines though and keep the other stuff to a minimum. Good stuff keep it rollin’. LEGIT !

love Brunello’s! QOTD#1: more small talk. QOTD#2: Woman Under The Influence: Cassavetes, (great movie but slow moving and hard to watch)

Love the show. I’m pretty excited at the bacon episode. So as an homage to it i thought this would be fun http://bacolicio.us/http://winelibrarytv.com.

QOTD 1. Bring on the small talk.

QOTD 3. Legit is a legit word.

Loved the show (this will be my second one – I’m a newbie!) Can’t wait for the Bacon episode – I’ve been having conversations with people on Facebok about bacon. It’s cropping up in unusual places, for example a friend of mine made pancakes with bacon in it (and was boasting about it). And a few brunch spots here in Seattle have the Bacon Bloody Mary on their drinks menu (who knew?!)

    1) Like the small talk, especially side notes on wine – I made a note in my iPhone about the Peachy Canyon ‘05 Petite Syrah.
    2) I agree with another person who commented about The Godfather when Michael goes to Sicily. A little bit yawn in that part, but GREAT movie, obviously.
    3) Legit is legit. But then again, this is coming from a white girl who likes to say ridic. So that’s definitely ridic.

Great show Gary! Love the “small talk” think it really adds a personal touch to the show. The movie reference is a tough one, but I gotta go with American Beauty, that one just sneaks up on you. And….

    LEGIT=TRUTH

oh yea also how about “Apocalypse Now,” or anything by Stanly Kubrick (Sparticus, Dr.Strange Love, 2001, A Clockwork Orange, even Full Metal Jacket had some odd sceens in it, and then there is Eyes Wide Shut [shudder] …)
