You were on point today Brotha. More conversating please. Legit makes me thinking of ‘leg it out’ when running to first on the ball field. When are the 06′ Bordeaux’s coming? Want to see a show on them. Hook it up.

I think the small talk about other wines and random tangents is what makes the show amazing. You taste so many specific wines that I know I will never try but when you talk about regions and other stuff I can relate to it immediately.

    You Rock!

    1. I am a techie myself so I like the tech type guests
    2. I vote for flabby and fun (that just sounds like all kinds of wrong)
    3. I am a person who believes in doing what you love and that is what I think of when I think of legit. I know you know how that feels Gary.

I wanted to let you know that ever since Jume 7, 2008 when you brought us together at the Corkscrew in Houston a very faithful TTT group has been meeting every month except for Ike. I was at the first and life has let me start going again and it is awesome how wine can bring such great people together.

    Thanks for being you Gary!

Semi-QOTD #1: We like the small talk – very fun.

Semi-QOTD #2: Know there are several but at a loss at the moment.

QOTD: Cracked up laughing when you got to the question as we were already going to ask you in our comments what you were thinking of when you smiled right around the 8 min mark when you said legit. We couldn’t help but think of MC Hammer, Too Legit to Quit. Sad but true. But – at least we weren’t the only ones on that mental track…

We are about a million episodes behind right now – glad to be back.

I like the flab, as well as the wine discussion. But I learn more when you ramble.

And as for the NCAA; Go Pitt!

Mun -YURE? Did you mean Pinot Meunier? Cause I think you meant Pinot Meunier. Mooon -ee- AAAHY. C’mon, G – you can do better than that.

Love the show. Love Brunellos. I’m a big Brunello fan, and Argianos of prior vintages have been some of my favorites, so I can’t wait to try.

And folks…don’t smell the flowers just for the vino experience. Stop and smell the flowers in your life!!!!

QOTD #1: Don’t mind the flabby at all…should be all about life’s rich pageant!
QOTD #2: Movie: Can’t help ya. If there’s a lag time that runs that long, it’s not legit.
    QOTD #3: Legit…MC Hammer…sorry.

I definitely like some small talk. Hmmm, the movie…I was stumped, but suddenly ‘The Station Agent’ popped into my head. The LEGIT QOTD: (see what I did there?) I think between your tweets, WLTV an GV.COM, I’m gonna get REAL tired of it REAL quick. :-)

  12. March 23, 2009

    Bill

    Nice show.

qotd: When I hear the word ‘legit,’ I think about ballers like GV, and Mott, of course.

    Askold Shegedyn

Hey, you did not mention the cheating that was happening with the Brunellos.

QOTD 1: flabby (always like to hear about what your drinking)

QOTD 2: Heat: superstar line up Deniro, Kilmer, Pacino, ect with a little flab in the middle and a rock you out of your chair finish

    QOTD 3: 2 Legit 2 Quit

Poggio Antico Brunello Reserva 1999 is the shizzy.

  15. March 23, 2009

    RobG

    Gary,

    Legit is definitely MC Hammer.

More importantly though, question of the day for YOU! As such a big NJ sports fan, why no love for the New Jersey Devil’s goalie becoming the all time leader in Wins in NHL history on March 17th? :) You gotta show hockey some love out of respect for all us Canadian viewers!

    Jay

QOTD 1: Yes, definitely flabby. Go off-topic a bit to talk about where your palette is at these days, what’s on your tasting/travel schedule, etc.

QOTD 2: Movie that is good but has a dull spot: That’s a tough one. I wasted a good 5 minutes trying to think of something. No dice.

    QOTD 3: MC Hammer – 2 Legit 2 Quit. Hahah =)

  17. March 23, 2009

    Liz

QOTD: Yeah, I ain’t the only one — 2 Legit! 2 Legit 2 Quit! (you have to do the hand motions when you say it)

GV, Need to go back a listen to this show. Garbage!, your all over the place using those tacky phrases. Come on man watch your Game film . Needs some work!

    David Dadekian

QOTD-semi: Flabby is fine with me.

QOTD: To be honest, nowadays I think of Gary when I hear legit. Mostly because he’s the only one who’s used it in ages. Quite frequently I might add.

  20. March 23, 2009

    Steve Ferrara

Nice Show… You’ve been dieing to use LEGIT in an episode huh (Twitter peeps should know this).

Mini QOTD: Do your thing Gary V… that’s what people watch for.

Movie QOTD: V for Vendetta (great movie…but gets a little blah during the middle)

    QOTD: MC Hammer

Looking forward to getting some of the 04’s, but I’m not sure how you can rate them now…my ’99’s are still not ready in my book and the ’01’s are not even close…I had the ‘99 Valdicava in January and decided my “ten year” age rule on Brunellos needed to be expanded to 11-12…but I really agree with you on the prices…they will come down not go up. Thanks for an informative taste.

Dude, Sick again? You really need to take care of yourself.
    1) Flabby
    2) Casino with De Niro, Stone and Pecsi
    3) Legit: What this show was compared to the last 2.

    QOTD: “legit” means authentic/with integrity

  25. March 23, 2009

    NJ-Vettester

QOTD #1: The more info the better as far as I’m concerned.

QOTD #2: “Apocalypse Now” – the scenes with Marlon Brando rambling on.

QOTD #3: Legit – Good enough to take it’s place among the best (e.g. The Corvette vs. Ferrari, Porsche, etc.).
