    Hey Gary,
Long time lurker, first time poster! (know you love that)
Wanted to wait until my 21th to post so I could have something to say.

Just want to let you know that you’ve already changed my wine world because my man Brian Yinger, who you gave a shout-out to in ep.444 on his 21, has been watching and got me excited about wine. Can we get him some free shipping or something :)
He sat me down with some friends on my b-day, the 20th, and we had a little tasty taste of wine. Great time with people I love…what more do I need.

Thanks for checking out the 2004 Brunellos! I’ve had decent but not overly exciting results with the 2004 Rossos, but I hope there is a lot to be excited about from the Brunellos.

Q1: Keep the small talk in, but make sure you hit upon the big points you intended to make from the very start.
    Q2: The Simpsons Movie.
Q3: Legit is Gary Vaynerchuk. To hell with the pompous hags who think great wine should be appreciated by the select few.

QOTD 1: Get off track, it makes you human

QOTD2: American Gangster definitely comes to mind. Great film, left the theatre very impressed, but there definitely were a few minutes in between where I thought it was “flabby on the mid pal”.

QOTD3: Legit definitely takes me back to college as a CKC member. It was definitely a serious part of my dialogue, e.g. “That party was legit, there were tons of chics, and the kegs were flowin’”

QOTD: Two things: Too legit, too legit, to quit! Of course. HAMMER DON’T HURT’EM.

Secondly, are my cars legit to be on the road? I currently have two and its a pain in the ass to keep them both “legit” to drive legally on the road, licenses, tags, insurance, inspection stickers, taxes, etc. What a friggin hassle.

Gary, welcome back! After the prolonged absence, I realize how important your show is to my daily viewing! I can be a lurker no more! I’ll be commenting moving forward as a maniac vayniac!

Expand your palate! Good opening words. It is the reason for the show. I like it.

wow. you read my reply. wow. wow. thanks! kewl!

What this HD? VERY good video quality. wow.

QOTD: Go off topic at times, just not about sports. Stay on WINE. smile.

QOTD: movie. JAWS. amazing opening and amazing ending. But slow middle.

QOTD: Legit. I think a fad word that someday will be sooo 2009. smile.

    QOTD1> I like a happy medium.
    QOTD2> Can’t think of any.
QOTD3> MC Hammer for sure. Who would have thought that such a simple question would tell everyone how old you are.

Most excellent show, again there GV!! I have no experience with Brunellos…yet. Dig the energy. Too bad these are a bit out of my price range due to my recession-induced cut-backs….Would like to see some less expensive alternatives. Maybe when P-BO gets the global currency worked out it will be cheaper…my ranting should not spill here…that’s not legit..or is it?

QOTD – Legit> aka Good To Go, Cool, Passes the Test, REAL.

    KUTGW!

    QOTD1:Flabby but fun
QOTD2:None are coming to mind just now
QOTD3:Legit- I think of questioning whether something is above board or not while in conversation, as in “- that legit?”

Good show – just the right length for tonight. Thanks!

Good episode, will love to try Brunello’s and I am truly expanding my palate.

QOTD #1 – I love the small talk, and the exchanges you have. I believe there are nuggets of excelence in the comments.

QOTD #2 – wihen I think of “legit” I consider credibility and credibility is supreme in my book.

Great show and I love your flab Gary!

QOTD2: Not much of a movie watcher lately

QOTD: As like many other children of the 80s, MC Hammer for sure

Great show Gary. As I have said before – the short episodes are often the best – fun, informative, great wines this time – the works.

    1) Definite yes for side comments. Especially on wines you had outside the show and great NY restaurant experiences you have had. Big foodie, brother.

    2) Star Wars Episode 1 – great movie like all other stars movies – but this one had some sloooow minutes in it.

    3) legit = kosher (not in the jewish ortodox meaning).

BTW – great to leave comments again. It has been a long time….

    Keepin’ it short and sweet.
I love the small talk. Keep that coming if you really want.
And as far as the word legit goes… 80’s rap is the first thing that comes to mind.

    q#1: flabby but fun.
    qotd: the hammer.

    Stephen Pandy

I’m liking the flabby tangents, keep em in.

I think of legit as the “real deal”. Something that’s all business and not messing around.

Can’t wait for the bacon pairing :-B

Good to see you back Gary. Love the Brunello episodes.

pre-QOTD: I’m down with the side conversations. I’m pretty curious to know what wines are rocking your world at the moment and what you’re stashing away. This isn’t network tv (thank God!) and memory is cheap baby! +1 for unfiltered Gary!

  18. March 23, 2009

    Richard Ritter

Nice to see you back and it’s also nice to see the comment count back over 100 for a while. Reading the comments seems to make a difference. Brunello was the first wine I ordered in a restaurant as an adult.

QOTD: Small talk isn’t flabby, it’s personal (and I think that’s what people want to hear).
QOTD 2: I think just about all movies get a little flat in the middle. Seldom do you see movies that rocks it start to finish.
QOTD 3: Legit is “Geeza” (old). You should say “Ready” (excellent). It’s going to be the newest phrase, like, “That show was ready”!

  19. March 23, 2009

    Great show. Legit=Real Deal

  20. March 23, 2009

    Legit = Honest

When you keep the show tight, it’s like a car ride where the quickest way to get to the end is a straight line and no distractions.

I like the show when your topics switch from one track to the next. Put your thoughts on the SEEK button and we’ll see what comes through. We’ll enjoy it.

    Movie with some flab: XXX

Great Show… what I am I talking about the are all great. Thank you Gary

QOTD 1 Yes please! Dude anything you want to say, say it. (Off topic and all)

QOTD 2 There Will Be Blood (might be more than 15 but still great movie)

QOTD 3 2 legit, 2 legit 2 Quit (Make the #2 and letter L with hands)

For real good show. I like the guest but you can’t beat a quick info packed 15 min. thunder show.

    Mr. Ferrari

Awesome show! Always make me laugh.
Semi-QOTD: Dude, stay flabby, I love the small talk!
QOTD: I think im going to bring back Legit now..My friends and I always use to say it back in high school. haha

  23. March 23, 2009

    Bellissimo

No comment on legit except for the fact that it is real or true. Main reason I’m commenting is YES I want to hear what wines your into outside of this show.

Keep up the good work and remember to take some time off for when you and Lizzie experience your biggest life changing event and become parents.

Q1. – Keep wanderin’ and trailing off -that keeps our ears on you! Straight, tight focus would threaten to be boring, and YOU are FAR too great a character to lose to such a mundane fate!

Q2. If you say boring and film in the same sentence, the dictionary will have a picture of The Blair Witch Project. What a sham! And they even TRIED to raise the bar on themselves to Dogma95 criterion. Since the 1970’s, with the release of Star Wars, Hollywood has been wholey self absorbed in the prouction of utter crap. I am continuously amazed how it STILL keeps getting worse, on a weekly basis.

Q3. Legit? … taxes paid, legal.

    Hi Gary,

Good to have you back in the saddle.
Semi-QOTD: yeah, go where your mind takes you. I like to hear what you’re drinking at home.

QOTD: it’s an ok expression, but like everything else, in moderation, please.
