Hey Gary, I could see the horror in your face when the guy was skipping the sniffiy sniff ceremony, a ceremony I personally valuate very highly by the way.
  • Toby Marcus
Yes, I eat radishes like that too!

Great great great episode. I'm drinking the 2005 Relentless RIGHT NOW and it really does kick serious butt.
  • Vinacull
Although for me it was more low batt (minimal actual TN's) than laid back, as a long-time Vayniac I give you props Gary for having TimF on the show, and thanks to Tim for showing up in our neck of the woods, and for selecting the Shafer.
QOTD: The end is the end when it becomes the beginning. When Charlie places the everlasting gobstopper on Wonka's desk and in placing his hand over it he says "So shines a good deed in a weary world."

this is a TOP TOP episode--i appreciate the dedication of all the old school vayniacs!

This is my first post, but I love to watch your shows and have been watching you for a while now. I always get excited about listening to your shows and then finding the wines that you review in California to try for myself. I just watched your show with Mondavi an was excited to get some Sau Blanc from Charles Krug right after. Then I was extremely impressed to find the "Relentless" at a local supermarket in the Sacramento, Ca area so I just had to purchase it and taste it for myself. Thanks for all that bring to your fans on a weekly basis.
  • Gary- First time I've seen your show and I gotta say...it was AWESOME! Really enjoyed watching your wild and funny rants coupled with Tim's laidback style...simply an entertaining show. Plan to watch your show on a regular basis for sure.

Great show, Tim F good laid back guest.

    Q-???
  • Russ J
I too am a long time viewer, finally dowloading the flash player for episode 3. That video Tim did for the contest was really funny ("area idiot") and there were others as well (backyard tasting?). Good show.

    QOTD: Good question!
  • Jayhitek
QOTD: In a big ball of flame!
Good episode. Liked seeing TimF sitting on couch.
  • JayZee
Oh, yeah, I've watched since episode #1 as well - and I have managed to keep up, although it has been difficult in the last year to do so.
  • JayZee
Props to Tim F, one of the originals and an All-Time Great Vayniac. Nice show as well - a lot of memories and a lot of laughs. I really like the Shafer Relentless as well. I have 4 bottles of the 2005 in the cellar. I loved the 2001-2003 as well.

QOTD: I'm not sure how, but it will end soon. :-(
  • MattTheLurker
Love Shafer. Great people. Fantastic wine. I can't wait to get back there. I have to give a shout out to Tucker! What up dog!
  • Chris the Cop
WTF, How about Chris the Cop on the comfy couch? I'm going to tell my Westchester County Cop friends to start looking for your car on the Saw Mill Pkwy. Good show.
  • That guy was an incredible guest! I have to say, probably one of my favorite guests of all time. They had a great give-and-take. Have that dude on again!

QOTD: It ends when Microsoft merges with GM
  • Shafer wine is timeless and only gets better with Age! Had the 94 hillside a month ago and it was drinking so insanely balanced! A classic American story of a hard working honest family.

    Great show gary!
  • TLR
Great show! Kickin it old school!

QOTD - After Gary's 4th child he will be overwhelmed with child care and turn the show over to Mott who will taste only desert wines.

    aloha,

qotd: it will never end. it will go on in one form or another until time itself no longer is.
  • james marinello (bajayngo)
good to see a nice lil kick back episode.
  • tarheel17
    Nice episode!
I'm guilty. I don't watch that many any more. But when I have a moment, it's always entertaining! Keep up the good work, fellas... Tim, have a great Monte Bello vertical, too.
  • Can't believe how long it has been since I watched an Episode, and I feel guilty for not watching this when it was first released (sorry Tim).

Loved the relaxed informal aspects, Tim and Gary come across as very comfortable talking together, and he didn't talk over Tim as he's done to some guests in the past.

    QOTD - Unexpectedly!
  • Adrian
Came across Wine Library while browsing for wine info.....and wow...it really blew me away.....everthing you need to know is here...it's informative, entertaining and best of all it feel so real and has so many funny moments.....the atmosphere is great....so laidback...keep it up GV....I'm hooked....
  • I don't know, but there's gonna be a lot of great wine to drink in the days before. Hope we get some notice. :)
  • sniffer
QTOD....it never ends, just keeps comin back round again
  • HipandKneeDoc
    QOTD:

Not with a whimper but with a bang!
  • my2cents
Nice sofa show. Fun to watch and hear some little back story.

I had some Shafer some years ago and it was very rich and worth the $.

QOTD: It ends when you retire and die of boredom.

I took a few days off and have several shows to catch up on.
  • Chris Lotz
you guys are like brothers who havent seen eachother for a year. good wholesome times!. great question Tim, and to quote the doors ............... this IS the end.
  • innA
Quite a weird show - it came across like the guest was trying to be a bit of troublemaker.. maybe just trying to stir Gary up a bit? The drinking straight away thing was very weird.

    QOTD - never!
  • ROFLOL!! GAWD your show is awesome. That's it. I am now a Vaniac! You are hitting it out of the park Gary...maybe it's the baby coming...maybe it's the vino...but your show is pumpin' out the content like none other...amazing!!
  • SS Chris
    what is going on?
  • SS Chris
    who's NY Pete?
  • ben from boston
You know what you gotta do.
    They all depend on you.
    And you already know.
Yeah, you already know how this will end.
  • QOTD: Wow. Well, if history has taught me anything it's going to get more difficult with a baby, but end? Why ever?
  • Heather W
laid back friday guest. very nice.

QOTD: it ends like all great things must. with a hugh celebration.
  • Love that Chi-town is representin'! Decent laid-back episode, perfect for the couch. The show will never end, it will remain passed down though the Vaynerchuk generations and will continually morph to keep up with technology. At least until I'm too old and decrepit to watch the show. Gary will also make periodic guest appearances even in advanced age.
  • BruceP
TimF!!! Nice one boys. Good to see you again, even if in virtual space. Gary will be great Dad. It will end when A.J. executes a hostile takeover.
  • Darlene O.
    Great episode, Gary! Good to see Tim F on the show. I remember, as well, when we'd use the comment section as a forum. Good times...:}
  • late-start
    great episode and guest

it will end when it is time....
  • Don
Double big ass glass, quite the occasion!!!

    QOTD: How does what end...?
  • Miko
Don't listen to them, Gary - It doesn't have to end!
