QOTD – I hope it was not the end. It would be much too soon.

Been watching the shows for almost 2 years, but have never commented.

My palate started with the big fruit bombs and has definitely gone away from that, but is cycling back a bit to some more fruit (probably from drinking a ton of California in the last 6 months).
Having said that, tried the 2005 Relentless about a month and a half ago after a 2004 Quinto do Vale Meao.

Definitely a big wine. Was a bit too overdone for me: definitely complex and mouth-coating but felt it was like a couple uppercuts rather than a few subtle jabs, which is what I still gravitate towards.

    Highly enjoyable episode

Hey GV, fun episode. It’s cool to see you kickin it with folks that have been with you from the get-go. I’ve missed a lot of episodes lately; I’m trying to get back on the horse!

QOTD: With a really big party and you swallowing every sip! Keep it real.

Great show with TimF! There should be more shows with long-time forum people.

QOTD: The whole thing ends up being one of NYPete’s dreams.

QOTD: I don’t want to think about it.

What a great show. Haven’t been there from the very beginning, but watching for almost two years and went back and watched darn near all of the first shows…

BTW – Peeps need to pop in and watch some of the first shows. Cool to see Gary crank it up each week.

“How’s it gonna end?” — what a question. Hopefully one without an answer.

GAry, Tim: Nice show. Great interaction between you two. But as a relative newbie, hearing the nostalgia makes me feel out of the loop.

QOTD: Doesn’t end… Gary spends more time working from home to be with mom and child. Grandma/Granpa bring over the wines and Gary uses flip cam to film shows.

    TimF is awesome! Fun show.

Gary will probably throw another party at Wine Library to celebrate the end, hopefully later than sooner!

Great show I’m glad everyone liked it.
QOTD: when this show reaches tv. It won’t be officially over but to me the great intimacy with the low budget filming will be gone and the show won’t be the same

    QOTD….When GV buys the Jets

Classic! Like in the good old days ;)

    @QOTD
Gary will buy the Jets. Then he’ll quit.

Great episode guys. Tim, good seeing you last night man. Good times.

    Best exchange of the show:

    GV: You get radishes?

    Tim: No.

    Lol. Classic.

QOTD: Unplanned…and when you least expect it.

Wow…what a great show. It’s been awhile since I have commented on a show. yet, this was just a great show. It’d be great to see if we can get some more old school fans on with you. The energy between the two of you was really great.

Thanks guys. very cool laid back Friday show.
WOW a Napa Wine gets a great review…..nice

    QOTD:
It will end with fond memories.
I would like to think that G could get a replacement and keep the show going, kinda like Jay Leno did, but honestly there isn’t anyone that can do what G does.

QOTD: The addition of a micro payment to view each month. GV start getting some more $ for your kids college fund man! You know your time here is worth a few dollars to hear your wisdom.

Really enjoyed TimF! I really enjoy the guests that you have on the show, and your interaction with them, GV! I wish that I could make it up to NJ to sit on that couch with you and drink some wine! Maybe one day, but keep it up!

    QOTD: THERE’S AN END????

  20. May 23, 2009

    John Rogers

This is the second time the issue about ending has come up. I have only been watching this show for about 9 months on a regular basis but I have gone to numerous back episodes. I would miss it, there isn’t anything else quite like it. The information given on the show has help me in understanding wine and it is fun.

QOTD: Episode 1000 I hope. It’s such a great number

  21. May 23, 2009

QOTD: There will be a casting show on prime time television called “America’s Wine Nerd” to find a worthy successor for Gary.

QOTD: Noooooooo! Ok if it must end it should be reincarnated with a new host I spose but it’d never be the same. :(

Follow-up: another clue. They mentioned the music of Journey WRT a best of video. That was also the band that was playing when the Sopranos went off the air.

QOTD: Trick question. That WAS the end. That’s why they were laughing. Gery thanked him for watching since episode #1, thanked all the other Vayniacs/viewers and flashed the peace sign. WLTV is done. Baby time! Gary, thanks for all the memories; it was a wild ride.

GV great show. It’s awesome to see a guy as busy as yourself taking the time to hang with a loyal vayniac. I’ve been watching for about 6 months and I’m hooked. I’ve had and enjoyed the Shafer One Point Five and really look forward to seeking out the Relentless.

QOTD: I know you are crazy busy, but I hope you decide to keep pumping out shows, even if it’s not as often. Keep bringing the thunder.
