This was one of my favorite episodes! Great interaction with guest and I learned a lot about sake; which is one of my favorite drinks of choice. Great stuff! Keep it up!

Best WLTV episode of all time!
You absolutely need to film an episode from Sasha’s cellar!!

This was my favorite WineLibrary Episode. Your relationship with your dad Gary is great and your dad cracks me up. Sasha get your own internet show going… it’ll be wildly popular and successful.

I really like the relationship you have with your Dad. Its really fun, because you see the love and affection, but also the tension that any normal father son have. My parents are also immigrants so I know the dynamic.
    Where’s momma?

Though I’m late in watching this, what a great episode!!!!! My 20yr old daughter, watching along with me, thinks Sasha is an absolute delight!!! Of course, I agree, Gary! QOTD: YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Agent Orange

    QOTD: Yes.

FYI: One of the best lines ever on WLTV thanks to Sasha: “Very approachable, very easy to drink, so I had the whole bottle.”

Quite an episode – a classic indeed. And yes, your father should go fishing with you. My dad pulls the same kind of stuff.

QOTD: well…his second question: yes, a show in his cellar would be cool indeed. a regular show…i think he underestimates what you bring to the table!!! Typical dad. Hah. I am one, so I can say that now…

Dad has the right idea. I am not spitting a 35 dollar bottle of booze into the bucket…lol.

I have learned more from these guys than anyone in the wine business. I am glad we are bringing wine down to a level of reality that the average person realizes it isn’t rocket science and that it should be enjoyed by everyone.

I opened up a bottle of wine from my grandfathers home town, Trento, in Italy. It was a Lagrein. It isn’t so much the drinking of the wine as it is the history as to where it is from, and the quality of all the elements that go into the final product.

Thank you for taking the time and making the effort to do this. It is very much appreciated.

Wine making is truly a science turned into an art.

One thing that’s true of Sasha on WLTV and in real life is that he loves his bread! I’ve had the pleasure of dining with him twice (once here in Boston and once in NJ) and that man can eat some bread! Happy father’s day to both of you!

Yeah, start your own show! Why not?!

Gary has to continue his also!
I watch it and I’ve never even had wine before. I just like how passionate he is about it.

    (:

OK, that was the best laugh I’ve had in a while – you two are great, I really thought Sasha was going to walk out towards the beginning! I was also jealous watching you eat all that Salami & Cheese.

The White Zin comment was a bit below the belt, but I love Amarone so know whre Sasha is coming from. Sounds lke a good mix of wines on the table.

almostQOTD (the one where you go solo)- no, you need to bounce off each other. So how about a couple of shows a month with Gary?

final QOTD (the Sasha & Mott spectacular) – absolutely!

This was so awesome. I feel like I’ve known you and your dad my entire life. You got great passion and knowledge..and you’re real. Keep up the good work.. love the show..love wine even more…but it’s close.

The best WLTV episode EVER!!!! The last ten minutes I was laughing so hard it hurt! Sasha, you are the BEST and it is very obvious why Gary is who he is today. Wow!

QOTD 1: Sasha, you should help out Gary and do one WLTV episode per week as the guest host, Do it your way. It would be awesome!!

QOTD 2: I would LOVE to see an episode of WLTV recorded by Mott at Sasha’s cellar – with or without Gary. It should be a two-part episode because you know it will go about 90 minutes!!! :-)

This has to be one of my favorite episodes – you and your Dad put into practice what you preach. You clearly love one another, and the results are hilarious. Happy Fathers Day!

QOTD: That would be a great episode, methinks!

Big G, I know I have not given a comment in a long time, but your this Episode did it for me. You guys play off each other so well. You just got to love it. I can really see where you get your drive. The rest of ya must be from your Mom. LOL

QOTD: Any shows by your Dad, I’m watching.

I have been watching this show on iTunes as a podcast for about a month now, and its become an absolute favorite. This episode, though, was the absolute best! I hadn’t had much to do with wine ever before, but I went on a trip with my college to Italy, Slovenia, and Croatia for a month and tasted wines from all over. I got very interested, and when I got back to the states wanted to learn more and more. I’ve watched your show religiously since I got back, and have a running list of wines that I need to buy and try.

As far as your dad goes, give him a slot! a quick segment every now and then with a story (like the hawk one) would be wonderful. you’re very lucky to have a dad like that. I’d love to see more of him in the future!

QOD1 : yeah! if he’d commit to it, make it a weekly affair to go a long with one of your shows! that would be really cool!
QOD2 : i’d love to see the cellar!

Another thing, I am from the southwestern corner of michigan. I lived up there when I was little and remember nothing but miles and miles of grapes, and my dad telling me stories about when he tied them as a boy for the myriad of local wineries. Perhaps you’ve already done a session on them, but I couldn’t find it. Some specific wineries, though, are Tabor Hill, Round Barn, and Lemon Creek. If you haven’t already, I’d love to see something on the Michigan wine region.

Thanks for constantly being an inspiration to the wine world. I’ve told several of my friends about this show and am very excited about spending the next 30+ years learning about wine with you!

This is my first time to comment. The old Vayner brought me out of the shadow crowd… Incredible show, tape a whole series at the cellar but I may only watch it if Sasha co-hosts. -Peace and Love-

    1st QOTD: Yes!
    2nd QOTD: Hell Yes!
Classic episode. Sasha is hilarious and obviously very proud of you.
30 years? Woohoo!! I was really starting to sweat when he said you were thinking about quitting…

How about you two getting a Reality TV show. You can call it “Family Laundry”!
    QOTD 1: Yes
    QOTD 2: Most definitly yes.

The story about the hawk was amazing. Some tasting from Sasha’s cellar would be awesome. Last time Sasha was on and you guys were eating the gifilte fish…he made it look so good I just had to run out and get a jar with some horseradish to go with it! My first time with the stuff…not bad!

Sasha is consistently my favorite guest on your show, Gary. Thank you for sharing him with us. I really appreciate your relationship, and it is especially poignant now that you’re a father yourself. Your interaction really enhances the wine experience. I, too, share wines, cheeses, breads, meats at my table with my family, when multiple generations gather. It’s truly priceless.

QOTD: Absolutely, please shoot a whole series of episodes of WLTV from Sasha’s cellar. I’d love to hear more stories about how each of his wines came into his life, how they enhance his life.

Love the episodes with you guys together. Can’t stop smiling as I watch :)
QOTD- yes I would love to see Sasha do a show all the time (which he actually asked as the first QOTD) and I would love to see him do a show from his cellar)

Happy Fathers Day to you both!
